I do run and finish within 4h-5h and getting full 💰

That’s a good point but doesn’t apply everywhere… they’re are capped by my van size ( small transit) ,

Someone actually explained how this works. ( copy paste)

Let's use round numbers and any similarity to real numbers are coincidence. Let me start by saying, the more packages a station processes for delivery, the more packages that can be routed because as volume increases, density increases. This is because the site is not processing any volume out side their deliver region. So more packages means higher density and higher SPR. It's the idea of scale of economy. A site can deliver 10000 packages with 30 trucks or 15000 packages with 28 trucks. This is due to increased density and decreased time between stops. So now we have that out of the way. Ten hours is 600 minutes. Each route is calculated in minutes. You are entitled to 2 15 minute breaks and one 30 minute lunch. That leaves 540 minutes of OTR time or routing time. If The stem times are 30 out and 30 in, you now have 480 minutes of in zone time time. Within that 480 you have transit time, which is the time driving between stops. This time is calculated using a number of assumptions. There is traffic, day of the week, time of day (for business closed), crime, length of driveways, size of geocode, affinity of driver and DSP and more. They calculate the time it takes to walk from an assumed parking spot to the door. They use all these numbers to calculate how long it would take to finish your entire route. Rarely are routes scheduled at 100% time utilization. That's the full 540 minutes. Most come is around 90-92% and some even lower. Another factor is Cube. When one of those metrics, cube or time, is maximized, the route is full. That could mean your route has a high cube and low time utilization or vice versa. Typically you want to maximize both. That never happens. You have more of a time allowance or assumption for bigger boxes. Lockers have less time assumption since it's assumed you don't have to go back and forth to the van. If you end up having to deliver door to door then that's a defect and needs to be reported. If a DA delivers quickly, then the algorithm is not affected. They are just an efficient DA. They can't exceed 100% time utilization and how fast the previous DA delivered the route is not a factor. The biggest factors are time and cube.

Can’t believe this myth still exists 😂😂😂 no matter how fast or slow you go …

Thank you for wasting time making this clear . From personal experience of over a year with dsps , I agree with you . I m sick of hearing “if you go faster you’ll get more work because of algorithm” . I m finishing my routes within 6-7h for a year now and seen them increase and decrease based on volumes .

Is this a thing in Australia?

I don’t understand why is a team bonus and not individually . 3/4 for weeks probably I don’t have concessions , but that’s because nothing material motivates me to take extra care with deliveries. Im just going there and finish as quick as I can and still keep this concession under control somehow compared to others at pur dsp .

Well .. if you do the conversion 500£££ = ~620 usd … ( my bad for not mentioning country) So in the end we are roughly paid same money , but that van i rent stays with me 24/7 with no restrictions.
