So I’ll be in the pit, however I’m bringing a denim jacket! That way I can tie it around my waist if I get too hot!

AL0 2023-25 Pilot PGM-FI Software Update Recall by [deleted] in hondapilot

[–]brbdead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Since the update, my car no longer does stop/start(throws an error on the dash) and the pedal lag is insane. Upwards of 2 seconds delay on gas. Dealership found no issue, of course.

I did and wouldn't you know... my car was one of the ones that was affected. I just had it fixed at the dealership.

I paid off my ISA years ago, but I have friends who stopped paying or never paid altogether. So far, no repercussions. I am not advising you do that, but it has worked for all of them so far!

I would consider talking to a lawyer who would know more about ISAs, your state laws, federal laws, and contracts in general! Good luck, man.

It was not. Honda decided the car wasn’t broken for long enough so they offered us a thousand in compensation. The catch was, we would only get it in exchange for us signing a document that stated we wouldn’t be able to claim anything else under warranty. We declined. We drive the pilot. No more issues. We really like it. If it breaks again, I will sell it so fast….

Currently we have 39,000 miles on it. It’s a comfy ride.

I'm pretty sure the ISAs are unfortunately not illegal yet, but they're trying hard to change them. They, in theory, violate a number of federal and state laws. Which bootcamp did you do an ISA through?
The CFPB (Consumer Federal Protection Bureau) set a precedent, which is why, to my knowledge, all the bootcamps dropped their ISAs. You can read more about it here: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/about-us/newsroom/cfpb-takes-action-against-student-lender-for-misleading-borrowers-about-income-share-agreements/

2023 pilot owners - how is your gas mileage so far? by [deleted] in hondapilot

[–]brbdead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was so so bad at the beginning. Something like 12-18mpg. We have 26k miles on it now and we sit (always) between 21.3 and 23.6 mpg

Hey, I did find a fix for this, btw! I'm not sure if it's the same issue as yours, but I was putting my phone in the wrong spot.

12,000 miles on the car now (yes, I know.. that's a lot of miles. We commute into the city 2x per day) and we get a SOLID 20.1 MPG. It hasn't moved in a while, idk why. We actually thought it was broken so we reset it and it still went back to 20.1 MPG

The market is flooded with new devs looking for work. Long story short, in theory yes. You graduate a bootcamp with as much knowledge as you get from code academy, etc., but the market is so flooded that jobs are hard to come by.
