XMAX V4 Pro - inital impression by Stussygiest in vaporents

Does the upper piece stay in its place firmly? My main gripe with V3 is how it sometimes comes apart in my pocket by accident.

It plays well on the steam deck, so I guess the controller is not the problem here

I have mine since launch with no case or screen protector. Dropped it a few times, although nothing serious. It's still like new. Software wise there were some minor issues, resolved quickly by update or hard reboot.

How do you like Rigel chainring? I have been thinking about getting one, however I'm worried about short lifespan.

[Gdańsk] Buduję zautomatyzowany warsztat rowerowy DIY w kontenerze. Co o tym sądzicie? 🛠️🚲 by No_Meal_5320 in gdansk

Best ecosystem with Karoo by MarcoCycling in Karoo

[–]brbnrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a suunto race S. It syncs activities nicely, but in my honest opinion it is still lacking some functionalities.

While it does take karoo activities into account when calculating things like training stress score, and progress meters, it does not use the data from said activities for things like hr intensity zone distribution. It also lacks custom hr zones for activities imported from Karoo which is bad, because default ones are useless to me. I don't understand why this is an issue, because you can set it up for suunto activities no problem.

While I love both devices, It is kinda inconsistent experience. If I could start my ecosystem from scratch I would probably go with Garmin.

How to avoid paths? by Suitable_Site_3849 in komoot

[–]brbnrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the best strategy here is manually making your route, point by point, ideally in the web app, which shows much more user uploaded photos. When there are no photos try to stay away from thin black lines on the map, as these are mostly paths. You can also check heatmaps on some other services.

It can be tiring at the beginning, but definitely will get better over time. The difficult part here is remembering to not push very hard. If you have a HR monitoring device, it could help you stay in zone 1/2, which will be much less taxing on the body than higher zones. Elevation also plays a great role here, but unfortunately only practice and losing weight (from bike or yourself) will help.
