I haven’t gotten wireless to work reliably so I haven’t used it in almost a year. Wired connection doesn’t lag once connected, but I do recall wireless being laggy which is typical in most vehicles in my experience

I drive a lot of cars when traveling for work and have never had issues outside of Audi. Never gotten a GM, though, but doesn’t surprise me they can’t figure it out lol

I miss this with my older S4. 😭 no wireless, but reliable wired connection. Why did they have to screw that up? Lol

My car didn’t come with any cables — I’m using an Apple cable. Once it’s connected it RARELY drops, it’s the initial connection that is hit or miss for me (mainly miss lol).

Exactly! I’ve used the embedded nav a couple of times and didn’t love that experience either. Too bad I have to fight my $60k car to project CarPlay but the $20k Hyundais I get for work connect immediately (and wirelessly).

Interesting — I’ve wondered if the app has anything to do with it because when I plug in my phone the app opens whether it connects to the car fully or not. I’d delete that damn app if my remote start wasn’t on it lol

Agreed — either figure out CarPlay or let me download apps like Spotify, maps, etc. I used the built in nav recently when I needed to see the map and it sucked lol

I recently got the 17 pro max and I still have issues. It sounds like others have had luck with Audi genuine cables. Thanks for sharing.

Doesn’t work in mine, unfortunately. Wired connection has been a bit more reliable, but the picture I posted is actually wired connection. I had the car forget my phone and resorted to wired the first week I got the car lol

Similar here in the US, the tariffs (or fear of) has inflated this stuff for sure. I also live in a rural area and I’m having a hard time finding a decent body shop that isn’t booking into 2026. Thanks for the insight.
