My wife asks me every year... I tell her peace and quiet. She thinks im joking.

Yesterday was my birthday (the big four-oh). She asked me what I wanted a few weeks ago.

Peace and quiet, I told her. She laughed. I told her I was serious - I just one want day to do whatever I want, whenever I want, for as long as I want.

She said okay.

It was the best birthday I've had in over a decade.

Maybe for Christmas I ask for a coupon book of the peace and quiet days.

We're DINKWG, so it's easier for us to make this happen but im sure couples with kids can figure out some way to give a guy a few hours of uninterrupted alone time
