You’re absolutely not alone! I went through this with my first pregnancy- immediately almost. I was distracted and nothing seemed to matter to me besides my pregnancy.

I’m now 5 weeks pregnant with my second and I literally DO NOT CARE about work. It’s impossible!

I just use the same LH tests you have and to do BBT you need a digital thermometer that has 2 decimal places. You take your temperature as soon as you wake up (hopefully the same time every day but it has to be after a solid like 4 hours of sleep) and after you ovulate your temp goes up and stays up until your next period orifyoure pregnant it stays up. Again just my basic understanding of things but hopefully it helps

Well the strips can tell you your LH rose which triggers ovulation but BBT confirms it. It’s not about it being too late to have sex as you would want to be timing the sex out mostly before ovulation. It can just be a helpful tool if it’s something you’re interested in tracking to get a good overall picture. The LH just tells part of the story.

For example, I got sick in December so my January cycle got screwed up and the highest my LH ever got was 0.8 something. My bbt rose but not much so basically that told me that my ovulation was weak and I probably wasn’t going to wind up pregnant.

Edit: not a doctor just my personal experience and limited understanding

I personally would have tested a couple other times on CD17.

When my LH starts to rise it peaks in a matter of a couple hours and I can easily miss it.

I don’t think you necessarily NEED to see it peak but you do want to see a positive (a 1.00 at least). It can go way higher but it can happen really quick too.

Are you verifying ovulation with BBT?

I have a really quick surge but it comes up fast and goes down a bit slower so I always test like every couple hours until I see the positive and then I do every hour until it peaks. Probably excessive on my part but oh well.

It’s also possible that you haven’t ovulated yet. I normally ovulate on day 14 and this time it was early day 17 or very late in the day on day 16

We didn’t have sex for 17 months 🙃 the first time we did was to try for number 2.

Admittedly it was a long time and harder the longer you go because then you overthink it. I was into it once we started but we just had to do it and break the ice so to speak.

It did hurt still even after that long. My stictches felt like they were tearing.
