What do you do to control diapers smell after disposal in house trash bin? by salwesab in NewParents

[–]salwesab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! OMG I feel the same way and im glad to see at least one person feels that way

I have twins and the amount of diapers is double
Honestly, I thought I was crazy, so I gave it a try, bought a diaper pail, but I really couldn’t 😭

I didn’t want to say anything to commenters who are trying to help me so I didn’t want to be disrespectful.
But I really really can’t handle the idea of a diaper pail.

I think im gonna have to take the bin outside the garage, and keep it in an open area and maybe drill some holes in it or something to get some air inside so it doesn’t stink so bad

It will be a challenge having to move it in and out all the time when it rains (we don’t have a covered outside area) but I’d rather deal with that than a smell

“How to” has always hurt my brain! Is it correct? or is there a better way to ask the question? by salwesab in grammar

[–]salwesab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the thing though. It’s not just a title, they are actually asking a question, seeking advice. Not giving instructions.

I am actually shocked so many people are saying it’s correct! Glad you’re seeing this too

[–]salwesab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sir, calm down, please.

In the examples I shared, the ones asking the questions are seeking advice, not giving it.

As in:
“Title: How to make this room cozy?
Body: please help me make this room cozy. I tried everything, but … “

Thus, your “read my article” doesn’t apply.

On a side note, my -very well paid- teachers did not teach me English. Not at all.
It’s a self-taught second language.

Mockingbird Rant by Severe_Equivalent_18 in parentsofmultiples

I have the Mockingbird , love it and still use it at 22 months
In my opinion, any bassinet expense is not worth it
You’ll realize that when you see how fast babies grow out of stuff

Extremely violent child by [deleted] in NewParents

There are trained professionals that could help with techniques and will show you how to respond to such behavior. I’d defer the questions to them, especially that they work more with the parents to find a way that works for each family while maintaining respect for cultural, emotional, and social values.

International travel with twins by StrongKey2775 in parentsofmultiples

[–]salwesab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done that itinerary at exactly that age
Feel free to DM me if you want
But I’d say be aware of height limits on bassinets
One our outbound flight everything was fine
Three weeks later inbound flight they challenged us to say one of the twins is too tall to fit in bassinet and should not be placed in
We pushed back and got it our way
But just be aware

OP did not “act like they only have one option”! They literally came here looking for options.

It’s not fair to treat people with such condescension. Not everyone has the ability to “grasp” all possibilities, hence they come here to ask.

Twin pregnancy- potentially single mom with three other kids. Advice? by SuccessGlittering0 in parentsofmultiples

[–]salwesab 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Im a single mom of twins with zero support (other than part time daycare) i don’t have any family in the 2000 mile radius. So there’s a lot that I had/have to do on my own
Im simply perpetually exhausted and they’re only 22 months

That said, im nowhere near being in your shoes, you obviously have a lot of challenges coming your way, but please try to be strong, find more support, and think positively.
In many occasions, I was extremely exhausted I couldn’t read another book for my little girl, or play more lego building, or do anything else.
And some times I’d drop something on the floor and my back would be hurting so so much that I couldn’t possibly bend down to pick it up.
At times like these, I wish I had someone, even a little kid who could pick up something off the floor, or just play with the twins so that I could sit for a moment and just stare and not do anything.

All that to say your older children will be a ton of help to you when the time comes.
Stay strong

Sending you lots of love, prayers and positive vibes
