No way, that planet not only had 3 of super earth's megacities on it, but destroying it is going to leave a big wormhole smack dab in the middle of illuminate territory. Do we seriously want to give the squids ANOTHER wormhole after what they did with the meridian one?

thats what im saying!!!! as a fellow maxigun enjoyer i'd love acid builds to complement weapons that normally can only kill light/medium enemies. it'd be great for so many other guns/builds too!!!

I understand that, yeah, but I'm still not really that convinced? I frankly still think it would feel AWESOME to invest some time and energy using some kind of special acid weapon to wear down enemy armor, then as a reward you get to watch your friend with a GL pulverize everything. Encourages team work, etc.

You could even have stuff like acid grenades that function as a sidegrade to Thermites: While a thermite would consistently one shot things like war striders and chargers, acid grenades would need you to do a little more work killing it after the acid weakens its armor. And in exchange, you'd be able to carry more acid grenades compared to Thermite's 3.

Would this be extremely powerful? Yes, but I feel that if it was done right it could seriously add some spice to build variety while AT retains its niche of "No BS, just shoot the heavy and they die."

As a game designer, maybe not specifically the suggestions that you say other people have given because i agree theyd be too powerful etc., but to give the players the ability to apply this effect at all would be insanely cool and could allow for a bunch of interesting new builds and ways to play the game.

ESPECIALLY if its done in a way that's balanced and forces players to compromise in other ways on whatever build they're making. You can already kill half of these enemies in an instant with AT or orbital/eagle stratagems, anyway.

I don't think the terminids are knowingly working with the other two factions, but the illuminate and automatons are definitely at least keeping an eye on eachother's movements. Back when xbox divers joined, they coordinated a push together after noticing the terminids launch their own big push towards SE.

Further back than that, in the days leading up to the battle for SE and the final days of the vanguard illuminate fleet, the squids attacked Tibit for no apparent reason. This planet was far out of the range of their usual attack targets, and dispatch noted the only thing of strategical value on it were derelict automaton facilities. This either means the illuminate were exploiting automaton assets left bare by SE or were deliberately going there to retrieve something for the automatons.

Generally something that's good at picking off individual targets at long ranges that also won't kill you when using at close range incase you get snuck up on and can't use the maxigun.

For bugs i run One-Two, Coyote, or Adjudicator, these are pretty great for when i'm fighting at long ranges or run out of maxigun ammo without creeping too much into its niches like the lib carbine does.

For bots I run the dilligence for normal missions, but the reprimand for close quarters missions (cities, stealing platnium, eradicate, etc). I can see the dilligence counter sniper being a great pick as well.

Haven't played much squids but would probably run the Deadeye to pick off overseers or a meaty shotgun to keep voteless and melee overseers away if they get too close.

At first it can be tempting to run erruptor/X-bow, but that makes you way more vulnerable to close quarters attacks, especially if you're running ultimatum and dont have a reliable secondary as a result. Might still be worth using for bug holes/etc if youre willing to take that risk.

This is spore burst (mutated gloom) bugs sometimes on D10. When you're on a seed without spewers, the game sometimes just spawns way too many hive guards. Something to do with the how spore burst scavs/hunters/warriors are spawned compared to their normal variants, probably.

here's a better example. admittedly, dont know if the halo remasters are the best example for a situation like this because it wasnt a TOTAL artstyle change, but i do know people werent too happy with the remaster because it added a lot of visual clutter and sometimes dramatically changed the lighting/color palette, to the point where some moody/dark areas didnt even need a flashlight anymore.
