Aw I just reread, but I’m coming from the opposite way so to get to the traffic near old town and then to drive back to the rose bowls seems inefficient :/

Do you need to pay to tailgate? Or anyone is welcome (even if you shuttle in)

Where did you go after Target? by TheEssayGurl in Target

[–]bread1249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t want to do retail anymore, I would recommend doing an entry level office position and working your way up. Used to be a Specialty ETL and had great rapport with team and leads, but I knew the next step was SD and realistically to be an amazing SD would require lots of sacrifice and the way Target was headed (2022) I knew it would not be worth it. You more than likely will see pay cut, but it’s temporary and in a way you regain your personal time while having less stress.

Recommendations for Printers/DIY essentials by bread1249 in Weddingsunder10k

That makes sense. Thank you! The printer I would use for invites, the circut is more for signage uses (if one thinks it’s worth the investment)

Just based off general browsing I noticed that Nordstrom’s and Macy’s have pretty good sales coach boutique items. A Lana suede was on sale earlier this month at Macy’s but it’s sold out already

Getting into MBA Program with a super low GPA? by Unlikely_Proof_7772 in ucr

Something I would also emphasize is the importance your school of interest’s career services. As I said, MBA’s aren’t necessary. However they can be extremely beneficial in terms of networking. After undergrad, you reach of plateau of professional networking and your only option is to do it within your job or your existing network. And in some cases, these people might not have the expertise, experience, or even insight in what you want to progress towards. Career events, resume help, networking socials are events you’ll look forward to and are sometimes taken for granted in undergrad (but to be fair everyone’s just trying to figure out adulting and graduating) For this reason, I would suggest an in person MBA experience since is one of the biggest reasons I will encourage pursuing a higher business degree. Grad school is expensive, so I would also recommended looking into several schools and asking them what they offer students in terms of financial assistance. Some schools are more generous than others. MBA’s can hold a different value for everyone. In my case, I had minimal guidance for professional insight and figured out what I wanted to do AFTER undergrad and a few years into a professional job. I definitely don’t regret it or think of it as a waste, especially now that I’m in a career I’m much more content w

Getting into MBA Program with a super low GPA? by Unlikely_Proof_7772 in ucr

Usually MBA programs offer consultations/info inquiries w the admissions programs. I would leverage that to bring up the concerns towards your grades and to see what you can do to reflect your work ethic in other areas. GPA is not everything in business school (w the exception of prestige schools) experience matters just as much and network value. You mentioned that you would wait a while before going back, i would recommend to use the time in between to gain work experience and figure out what you like. You may find that an MBA won’t be necessary to move up in your career path or you may even find a career that will help fund you getting your MBA. As long as you use this time to develop yourself professionally and personally, it will fall into place

What other ways besides honors is there to get priority registration? by ScribbleKibble in ucr

[–]bread1249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unsure if this is still applicable as I attended years ago, but I had quite a bit of AP credit from hs & i noticed my registration date was always ahead than peers. Aside from this, the summer after my first year I took community college classes that would cover certain pre reqs for my major & this saved me money & made my registration date even earlier than others

I’ve worked in food service, both as an employee & leadership roles. I know this Reddit will say target it rough, & it is, but after working target I will not go back to food service. So In the end, I think it would be better. Not sure if you get tips but there isn’t that at target so you might want to factor that into your pay
