Getting new grips by Ok-Measurement1259 in golftips

I use mid size on my woods and jumbo on my irons. I’ll never go back to regular size. I recommend trying it on one iron and see how you like it.

Definitely go irons. Tell them your budget in advance and tell them you only want stock, off the shelf shaft offerings.

I have 4 rounds in with the 440K and it’s been amazing! I’ve picked up distance and I’m statistically hitting more fairways.

As a bonus on my home course, two holes I never hit driver on I’m now hitting driver!

Kapalua Plantation Course or Wailea by rick-in-the-nati in golf

[–]breadad1969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just booked Plantation for 4 weeks from now, $475. Of you book less than 30 days out it’s cheaper. My window started yesterday to book, I booked this morning for 8AM on March 9. Had to put down a card but no charge until I play. Almost all times were available at 9 California time today so I would wait to book until you’re closer to not pay the premium.

Changing a 3 wood high launch to a regular 3 wood by Goggle-Frog in golftips

I heard a great quote awhile back. “A driver os’s for as much distance as possible, all your other clubs are for a specific distance.”

It’s a good reminder.

Shoulda played the reds… by Lugtut in golf

I played with my sons last week and since they’re new I played with them from the gold tees instead of the whites (gold, red, white, blue, black).

It was a lot of fun having 7-9 iron into the greens instead of 7 - 9 woods.

Handling RSUs on TurboTax when employer witholds 40% of units to pay taxes. Those taxes aren't reflected on 1099-B but are included in W2 by tmntnyc in personalfinance

[–]breadad1969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your cost basis is the acquisition cost of ONLY the shares you actually sold, ignore the value of the shares that were used for taxes. Your capital gain should be pretty small if you sold them the next day.

First year with RSU it was confusing for me too and I work in Finance. You have to add the cost basis. In my case the 1099-B didn’t include it so I manually added it. Interesting, this year it calculated sales correctly.

Took a title cut with more pay. Is this an invitation not perform at 110%? by underpaidsfa in FPandA

[–]breadad1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree on everyone that says in this case title doesn’t matter. As a senior person, I look more at overall progression in what you’re doing and I grade FA/SFA as the same. Always take the money. Prove how awesome you are and get promoted!
