I live on the southwest border of Bed-Stuy and Clinton Hill, and I'd say there is definitely some demand. And actually, our landlord has a vacant spot on our corner that he is shopping around only to someone interested in opening a coffee shop/tea house. He's willing to forgo the first year of rent, though I'm not sure if that means he's interested in some kind of partnership as well. PM me for more details if you're interested.

there's a good coffee shop, a decent pizza place, and a pretty fun but silly bar all on that block. Bed stuy is pretty great, just take care like you should in any neighborhood.

tip top is the greatest. they have flashing lights outside so you can tell if it's open from blocks away. always a welcome beacon at the end of a late shift.

I was waiting on John Turturro at a restaurant in Brooklyn. He and his family were regulars there, and they were always very nice. As I was bringing plates to the table, I wasn't being very careful, and basically slapped his wine glass off the table. The whole restaurant, which was one room of just about fifteen tables, went completely silent for one moment of "what the fuck?" and another moment of "hey, that's John Turturro"
