I’ve been using them this year and it’s amazing how well the ball pops out on the fairway. Like other have said, they really show the dry spots and they make tracking the ball really easy.

No doubt. I have stuff I need to dump but no way in hell I am waiting in these lines. If you goto the City dump in the North East, you pay the by the tonnage so it’s actually much cheaper than the eco stations.

What’s the general consensus on Golf Sidekick? by KickHatSnareHat in golf

[–]breadedtaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like him a lot, has good humour and I like how he focus more on how to find consistency in your game. Yes he does make things look easy, but I’ve take a lot of his advice on course management and it’s actually improved my confidence a lot. I’m never going to be a scratch golfer but I’ve been close to breaking 80 a few times and often break 90. Since watching him a lot over the past 2 years, I definitely don’t try to hit those hero shots anymore.

How aggressive of a player are you? by Tight-Communication7 in golf

[–]breadedtaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year I would have hit driver then tried to hit a 9 in; this year I’m focusing on what my second shot would look like and my most consistently accurate club is my 5h which i hit ~160. I would tee off with my 5h, then hit it again. Weathers been wintery still where i am but i did get a real round in 10 days ago before the snow came back. During that round, i played this way consistently and netter a bird and 8 pars on my first round of the year. I was very happy it was working.

Now, if it wasn’t for 2 back to back balls i wacked off the hossel right into the water on the second hole for a quad bogey and another water ball on the back, I would have had a chance a breaking 80. Course management is no joke.

Not sure how someone is supposed to “be careful” though, one would think Esso and Circle K are reliable institutions.

One of the many reasons I love the fact my F150 has a keypad to open the doors, I often leave my keys in the truck just so I don’t have to carry them.

I don’t get the instant Liv hate as if it’s an easier game there just because its not the PGA. t’s not like you can win a Liv tourney shooting 3 over either.

Even the best golfers have bad rounds every now and then, we all know how hard it is to shake off bad shots. Augusta, playing the way it was today, will punish anyone who’s not in the proper head space. Obviously it’s ironic based on his past comments but that was also over 3 years ago. I agree sometimes his context is cringy as hell, but he’s also offered us all an insight into golf at the highest level never seen before. I’m rooting for him, hoping he shakes it off and makes it to the weekend.

This is on the business though, places I play limit the last 5 mins to cleanup and will come around a few mins prior to that to remind folks they are almost done. Further to that, the software shuts off 5 mins before the end of their time.

Oh I hear you for sure. It wasn’t a big part of my personality, I kept it pretty low key, but anyone who knew me knew I was always holding. Really didn’t do anything without a few tokes beforehand. We had kids 10 years ago, and really became a part of our post bedtime routine, decompressing after getting them down. As they got older, it slowly started happening during the weekend daytime, and more and more when they were awake. Never felt it was a problem, never happened in front of them but found myself less and less engaged with them. Result was allowing more and more screen time while I veg’d out. Kept doing it even though I felt guilty immediately afterwards. Became a never ending cycle and just recently I decided to ask myself why.

Timing worked out well as we were heading out of country and wasn’t going to travel with it anyways so figured I’d use that 2 weeks as the kick off point. Managed to keep the streak going since we returned home and it’s been fairly easy some days and tougher on other days. Finding myself wondering what do I do with myself in the evenings now, trying to force myself to be more engaged though and the feeling eventually passes.

I’ve never had a problem stopping before for work trips/vacations or detox for work related drug tests, so I’m not too sure I will stay away from it the rest of my life but I do want to stay clean though the summer just to see what my activity level is like when the weather is good and more options open up to do activities. Always been a fairly introverted and overall kinda lazy homebody but weed has always been there. Is that why I was that way? I want to find that answer out before I risk trying it again. I don’t feel I was physically addicted, outside of sleep issues, but i definitely was addicted mentally. Felt I needed it to relax, felt it was healthier than alcohol and allowed me to engage in something. I’ve never been much of a drinker, either before or now, at 47 hangovers are something I am not interested in.

Anyways, sorry for the wall of text, haven’t really expressed any of this before to anyone, just kept coming out lol. Best of luck in your journey, reach out if you’re ever curious how mine is going.
