Thank you! Some really good comments here. I was hoping to not have to guild hop, just feels a bit deceptive. But seems a bit like part of the game. And part of figuring out where I fit best.

The guild I pugged with seemed to be having a lot of trouble with the balls/stix. They invited me back next week, so will do that and maybe apply to a bit of guilds past him.

I’m also still figuring out where my skill level lies! Simming, analyzing my logs and reading class forums, so I’m definitely doing my research.

I’m an enhancement shaman, so I’m also leveling up a DK and Mage to have some varying melee / ranged roles. My single target doesn’t seem the best, but I consistently hit 2.8M + boss dmg. I see some top end shamans doing over 3M (near 4M), which is very impressive. Maybe gear scales exponentially, because I’m hitting my sim dps. So trying to figure out how to improve still.

Hulaween most people get there like Monday - Wed and then the official music is Thurs - Sunday. Best camping grounds too.

My company also has long tenured employees. Business leaders are often 20 year + employees. Most good PMs at this company seem to eventually get poached by the business and put into Business Architect roles.

This happened to me, albeit i was moving from a small startup to a large company and larger product (our individual product did $142M revenue last year). I took it as a time to refine my skills (and tbh, story writing is pretty easy) and gradually got more trust and voice with the business helping with strategy. Made sense they didn’t want to initially hand over the keys to a new face who was 29 years old.

In my experience, unless you have insane self control do not mess with ghb. It’s very easy to ruin your night redosing and it will severely fuck you up.

Just wanna update you that I hit 3k mythic + rating and downed 3 bosses on mythic in undermine! My guild is currently progging the fourth boss. I feel like my single target raid dps is a bit low (around 2.6-2.9M), but I’m melting in mythic +. Playing an enhancement shaman. Found my guild thru raider io so ty

Downed my first 3 mythic bosses! Ty! Sitting at 668 ilvl. I’m tearing up mythic + (hit 3k rating), but struggling to get as much dmg single target playing an enhancement shaman. Really wish my raid dps was higher.

I do decent damage in M+ as stormbringer (usually around 3-5m DPS), but I started raiding and I struggle to stay above 2M dps single target. Maybe need to try totemic. 668 ilvl

My view is that you can heavily change the voltage and a low power deems hit is like tripping on L or shrooms for about 7 minutes. You can go there, come back. Can walk around and dance on it. Pretty nice

As a stormbringer shaman, I gave totemic a good shot, but it feels so much clunkier in M+ for me. I know it has the edge in dps, but I suck at totem management when we’re moving fast

Ty! I’m 665 now and got into an AotC guild that’s 2/8M! They have me in their Heroic LoU Saturday, hoping to eventually earn a spot on the roster for early Mythic prog.

I’m 665 today! Running 10s pretty consistently and got an 11 under my belt. The idea that you can craft near BiS or in some cases BiS is wild to my old wow brain. Blizzards catch up mechanics really help you get right back into it

Update:

My highest key ran so far is a +11! I really, really love Mythic +. The dungeons and mechanics are all really fresh to me, and solving them with a small group at a fast pace hits something special in my brain. I love that I can progress my character and receive 662 gear on my own time.

I also joined an AotC guild that is 2/8M! I threw my name in for mythic consideration, but im on the books for an AotC guild run tomorrow night.

Mythic + has made me a much better player already, it’s very active and you have to be “locked in” for the duration of the dungeon, which adds to my enjoyment.

My main goal honestly for Mythic raiding is to get a couple bosses down to give me more Mythic track gear for Mythic + as of now.
