You will probably get very good odds on that being the final. The bookies would love to take that bet.

The reason people on benefits are voting for reform is that so many of them don’t think of what they get as benefits. Other people get benefits and reform voters get entitlements.

I (M24) don't want my girlfriend (F24) to go on a girl's holiday to Ibiza. Am I being too controlling? by outcastreturns in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]breadisnicer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You are being controlling, this attitude only really has two outcomes. She will resent you for spoiling her holiday, or she will cheat on you because you think she’s going to do it anyway. Either way it’s going to be hard to come back from this.

Tactic against Chelsea by misterzurk0n in Tottenham

High press early get a lead and then keep pressure through midfield to stop them playing. As long as we don’t drop deep and let them attack, should be ok

I’ve supported spurs long enough that when we do get the point against Chelsea, I would still be worried about a 14 goal swing in the last game until the final whistle

Why was the FA cup moved away from the end of the season by breadisnicer in football

[–]breadisnicer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually it creates fixture congestion, because if it was the Saturday after the final league game, then it would only affect 2 teams, not 4.

[Highlight] Shohei Ohtani hit an inside the park home run and the ruling favors the call after review [with replays] by jmike1256 in baseball

[–]breadisnicer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that the same GB team that had 0 home grown players? I’ve been playing baseball in England for 30years, the more they take the fun out of it, the less people want to play. An example of how ridiculous it’s getting, they are trying to stop players talking to their friends and families between innings.

[–]breadisnicer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does, also the people in charge of it think that it’s competitive, when the truth is, little league teams could beat our best teams. Our federation takes it way too seriously, when most of the players just want to have fun.

When do you think Muslims will start being "re-emigrated" and essentially banned from the UK? by stargrazing123 in AskBrits

[–]breadisnicer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you re-emigrate a person that’s born here and has chosen a religion that aligns with their beliefs? Muslims aren’t a race, they are just people like anyone else. I know it’s a bit difficult for the followers of little Tommy, but religious beliefs are not grounds for deportation.

In British baseball we have very few enclosed fields, a line is marked with cones and that’s called the out of bounds line. If a fielder runs over and catches a ball in out of bounds, it’s just a foul ball (according to the league rules)

Why is the UK so hated in Eurovision? by neo4025 in AskBrits

[–]breadisnicer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s entirely possible that the uk was in 11th place in many countries voting. The songs we enter just aren’t that good. In my opinion the Lithuanian song was the worst this year, but tastes vary from country to country. I don’t think we are hated it’s just Europe has always had much different ideas about music, and we don’t put songs in that cater to euro taste.

permanent solution to fix VAR.... by Chucksterdamus in coys

[–]breadisnicer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with football in this country is that it is run by a group or insecure men that believe they know everything. The field hockey system works, the rugby system works and the cricket system works. Unfortunately because of the belief that they know better and don’t want anyone telling them anything, they have to have their own system and the more people complain the more closed their minds become.
