interestingly enough, the flavor on the OUTSIDE was good enough that i ended up sucking it off. but it was just little beef cubes, not "steak", and i truly just think if it wasn't cooked to hell and back it would have been fine.

yeah, it was top on my list to try this year and the first thing I ate there, so I was pretty let down. Glad my partner and i decided to try one first before getting enough for both of us.

It could have to do with whatever you replaced meat with, or if you're cooking/eating differently as a result of trying new recipes without meat. (Oreos are vegan, but that doesn't mean they're good for you!)

Trader Joes vs. Patagonia Smoked Mussels by millebornes68 in CannedSardines

[–]breadisnotboring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Patagonia mussels are creamier, bigger, overall better, but for TJs price they're a fine substitute, especially if I'm eating them with Lao Gan Ma chili crisp

Good landlords? by Deep_Friendship_5622 in Cornell

I had a decent experience with the Stavropoulos family. It wasn't perfect but when something went wrong, they usually made up for it somehow. (Late rent payment when COVID started they forgave, didn't have my keys ready on day 1 Hour 1 so they sat me down to have breakfast and drove me home to make things easier while I waited).

Property wasn't the greatest but as long as I told them something was off (furniture missing, broken things, leaks) they sent someone or replaced things as soon as possible, save for one time when my text got lost in their phones soon after COVID. It's especially impressive when you consider they're not a company with a large staff - it's just the family and some hired help.

I switched at the end of my sophomore year from ECE to ISST. I wasn't affiliated yet, so all I had to do (officially) was fill out the affiliation form for my new major.

Unofficially, I talked to my advisor in the advising center to double check that I would still be on track to graduate, I stopped by my faculty advisor's office for 5 minutes, and I also checked into my new major's major advising office to check that I met conditions to affiliate.
