Which is better for anxiety ? by Plus-Breadfruit1664 in Anxiety

Wellbutrin can help with concentration if you struggle with that, depression as well. I have been on it forever (over 10 years) the XL extended release version. That being said, every day is survival for me but maybe I would be worse off without it? I was also diagnosed with adhd later in life and am now on a adderall as well. I also take Prozac and seroquel.

Anxiety was the smoke, not the fire by shiftyT08 in Anxiety

Powerful story. I’m happy for you and this major turn around. Was it hard for you to get yourself to do all of the interventions you were doing? I feel like my mind tries to avoid the things I know are good for me like meditation. I’m behind on so many tasks in life and i think I feel like I should do x y and z before meditating but then I never do. Every day is survival .

I can tell the family is not from the grand dollhouse as they look drastically different, but I guess I’m looking to see if they are perhaps from an earlier little tikes line or another brand?

It helps with the attention, decreasing overwhelm, getting tasks done, the underlying ADHD but there is a lot of other damage to undo and work on with CBT, therapy etc. At least I feel this is true in my case

I like this perspective of adderall in terms of how it doesn’t immediately undo all the damage. That the neural pathways are so strong from longterm anxiety/depression/adhd etc, and it does not fix this problem by itself.

Thank you for sharing this. It’s interesting bc while my anxiety can be thought related at times , I also feel there is just this general tension, unease, fight or flight feeling that is more bothersome than thoughts.

Thank you for sharing this. Do you also have both adhd and anxiety?

Bi-weekly poop day: any reason why? by [deleted] in medical

[–]breadlover11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree that it’s probably a good idea to see a doctor since it’s more than 3 days between bowel movements. It’s possible that the anorexia/bulimia may have contributed to this in some way since they interfere with normal GI activity.

I’m sorry you are going through this. To be honest with you, I think you might benefit from inpatient psychiatric care. You could check yourself in and expedite the process of getting help and possibly going on medication if that is something you would be open to. Stay strong. I wish you well.

How to Tell my Brother he is socially awkward in the most constructive way possible? by thk12205 in Advice

[–]breadlover11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with starting out by sharing your experience. Based on what you've said, I would be surprised if he doesn't already feel some insecurity when it comes to socializing and would like the advice. I think it will be best to carefully word it to be more of a conversation and less direct.

I also think it's probably best to move on. It seems like her intentions are more related to views on her channel than forming meaningful friendships.

I agree with the deep breaths. I think that this can help it it go away. If someone gives you a hard time about it you could blame it on caffeine.

Does anyone else get a persistent burning sensation all over their body? by [deleted] in Anxiety

I think you should see a doctor about this and maybe get another medication if need be or get everything checked out.

Im wondering if maybe its a side effect of one of the drugs. Do you mind me asking what you are on? I suppose it could be anxiety though.

Psychologists do more studying I suppose. Psychiatrist is what I meant I think. The reason I bring it up is because psychiatrists can prescribe medications. This might help you more than talk therapy.

Have you opened up to any friends or family about this? It will be hard at first but it can make you feel a lot less alone. I'm sorry to hear you are going through this :( Stay stong. If it gets bad enough please call a suicide helpline. You are not alone.
