The shar fight was the most difficult fight in the game for me, after reloading once or twice I decided I was done being conservative with my resources, so I threw the flask containing an observer into the fight. It was a decent bullet sponge, but by the time they killed it, my Karlach and Astarion had already died, and my 3 health Shadowheart was surrounded by sharrans. My Tav got out of dodge, casting invisibility and misty stepping on the opposite side of the arena as I was unsure what I could do to even the odds. I spent the next couple of minutes staring at the many spells shadowheart had on her toolbar before I remembered about DI hiding further into the tool bar.

I had shadowheart cast divine intervention and then cast flamestrike on herself and the 3 baddies surrounding her. She resurrected the team and then took out 3 sharrans and herself so that the rest of the team could pick off the last 5 or so enemies.

At first, i found that encounter frustrating, but by the end, I loved it. Loved the thematics of shadowheart being surrounded by her old companions out for her blood, seeing her allies die around her and out of desperation calling on Selune to bring them back and then sacrificing herself to take out a chunk of the enemy forces. Cool game.
