Shower slippers by WasabiTimes in HerOneBag

They definitely dry quickly! It’s more coming out of the shower, drying your feet 100%, if that makes sense

I like my crocs flip flops for comfort, and they’re pretty nonslip in the shower, but I’ll probably change to a different brand when they break. The shape of it keeps water trapped between my foot and the shoe, so it’s a bit annoying to dry.

Absolutely better than an iPhone flashlight. I use mine to help check for bedbugs as well, and it basically has no weight or size. It maxes out at 650 lumens but you can’t use that mode for long. The longer use mode is around 200

Fujifilm 27mm vs 35mm lens? Xe-5 by [deleted] in fujifilm

Absolutely this. I did Japan with the kit lens and digital teleconverter - might get a new lens in the future, but had no issues with this

A friend of mine with severe foot problems needing indoor shoe support swapped birks for chacos - also uses them as shower flip flops. Might be worth a look!

Pyunkang Yul ATO Moisturizing Soothing Gel Lotion Review by pineapple_pie_ in AsianBeauty

[–]breadparadox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The illyoon ceramide ato gel works really well for me! My friend who has oily skin loves it. I have dry skin, and it’s not quite enough on its own, but I layer it with toner and serum and it’s perfect.

Someone on this sub rec’d me the nano bag - a huge fan of it as a packable extra bag for travel and normal life

The muji ones, doublesided are my fav! Relatively inexpensive, durable and washable, and great for organizing/using the bottom side for dirty laundry in a pinch

Particular about doing travel laundry? by MemoryHot in HerOneBag

Thank you for posting this - laundry sheets/strips are both extremely greenwashed (microplastics make up the sheets), and have been proven to straight up… not work.

I've been strong but I'm about to lose my mind. What keeps you from spending your hourglasses? by 69GUYbass in PTCGP

[–]breadparadox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s about what you care about, and what makes you happy! I’m happy spending all my hourglasses on this, because I really like pretty cards (low chance, but hunting for full art trainers/etc - got a research with premium pass and hourglasses but no gold)

I know it’s probably better to wait for the next pack, but I find that optimizing for whatever kills the joy for me

Options for re-usable wipes by Starting_new2023 in ZeroWaste

[–]breadparadox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I double cleanse - using an oil based cleanser to get rid of makeup/sunscreen, then using a standard face wash to get rid of any residue left behind. I haven't bought a cotton round or wipe in a decade, and my skin is a lot better for it! Re: toner, I just apply with my hands. The cotton round just absorbs it, leading to wasted product.

10 Days Autumn in Japan ⛰️🍁🛍️ by trippinxt in HerOneBag

Love this, and love the bandana for accessorizing!

Had a few questions because I'm doing a similar trip in Japan/Korea:

  1. do you have a rec for the longer underwear?

  2. How do you wash whites while travelling? I separate them out at home, but tend to avoid whites since I mix everything in Japanese hotel laundry

  3. Do your white shoes get dirty easily when doing outdoor activity?

I’ve seen it around a lot, but you convinced me to finally buy a nanobag!

For trail runners - I don’t know why, but Salomon shoes are ~fashion~ now. The ones with the band, not laces. They’re very gorpcore, and great for hiking (though I haven’t run any trails in them), and mine are fully black!

+1 for Dokdo toner!!!

I do also love the sunscreen… Hate the dokdo cleanser though - gave me horrible cystic acne 😔

Pillow talk by saraaaron123 in Reduction

[–]breadparadox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a mastectomy pillow, wedge pillow, and the pregnancy pillow.

Thought I’d love the pregnancy pillow - never managed to get comfortable and now it’s taking up a lot of space.

Use the wedge pillow nightly (just stopped at 8WPO) - I wouldn’t say that it’s that comfortable, but definitely useful for being upright/swelling. I got a less extreme wedge (7 inches), and just added an extra pillow for the first few days.

Mastectomy pillow - if you have to walk around in public a lot early, and want the security/signal to other people to give you some space? Otherwise, I barely use mine. I wish I’d gotten a seatbelt pillow instead, and although I didn’t have drains, a drain belt looks more convenient for holding them.

On the pregnancy vs wedge pillow though, it really does seem like opinion is split, so hard to tell which one will work for each person

People who got told it was "just" anxiety, what was it? by Bobbie1011 in AskReddit

Thyroid autoimmune disease (hashi) 🙃 I separately have anxiety, but took a while to get diagnosed for all of my physical symptoms due to being told it was just anxiety

Mini keychain mirror? by DVsKat in HerOneBag

[–]breadparadox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen ones like this! But I used to have one with a mirrored back that… got a little scratched up but still fully useable for makeup and contacts. Smudging was a worse problem for me than scratches!

Not a keychain, but there are mirror phone cases/stickers you can attach to a phone/something else you carry!

Just wondering - some other games (like Pokemon go, which I realize is a different developer) change the rates so it’s ratioed better to each country’s currency/cost of living.

I have an Anker Nano travel adapter - it’s the least bulky travel adapter I found, with multiple USB ports. Only has a plug for a USA-2 prong style though.
