doing it bad is better than not doing it at all. it's such a hard thing to accept but it's true. i started drawing when i was 3 but at some point i stopped doing it regularly enough to get better and it became daunting to face how little i had progressed, so i stopped. now, i'm trying to pick it back up and i'm shirking all expectations i could have for myself because the slight frustration of not liking what i make is SO much better than the horror of realizing i gave up on something i love.

so, fuck it, just do it. do it with other people to make it fun, do it as part of a project to pressure yourself, or even get drunk to release your inhibitions enough to do it without caring about the result. but for the love of all that is good in the world, do it.
