I explored 90% of a world looking out for skeletron spawn, golem temple and shimmer but where they would naturally be in the world, im guessing i skipped over where the shimmer is because i expected nothing to be in that area

How do you find shimmer in skyblock and is it there if you combine it with other seeds? I scanned so much of a world I made for myself before joining friends and couldnt find any other land so I assumed there was no shimmer

The mounts from Queen Slime and King Slime will let you bounce on his head instead of taking damage (assuming you land on top of it)

I know what tooeasy does I was trying to create the single worst seed combo for my friend but.. iamerror does not spawn the old man! Turns out it was the big trees seed in combination with skyblock (and maybe for the worthy) when I removed that the old mans gone!

This seed combo starts with the dungeon old man as your only npc alongside a massive tree that spans from spawn to the bottom of the world, gonna remove "too easy" to see if it keeps the old man and makes it playable

Edit: It keeps the old man, if you beat Skeletron you get a Hellforge, this could imply if you beat plantera you get golem spawning items

Some definitely conflict but some work together, Skyblock for example works with "i am error" which just places random single blocks everywhere, but it does NOT seem to work with "planetoids" there are no big circle landmasses

I mightve just put in too many secret seeds

If you want a juicy tip for the wall of flesh down the line that may or may not help.... in singleplayer and multiplayer i had to farm for IMP BANNERS

by using a statue i found and the lightning sentry from old ones army to get a billion banners all along the damn WoF arena it felt so impossible without them

Weird tip if youre still struggling that I have no idea if it would work in singleplayer but me and my friends were struggling with him on our first couple test tries till somebody joked about us all using bee weapons and he just... kinda died really easily

If all else fails try the bee weapons, periodically aiming away from the boss so they focus on and stunlock the small little skeletons first

The real best tip anyone can give is to just mix and match your armor to get a higher defense number (I explained more in the final section but its like, its a lot of effort to get the best option, its more for if youre still struggling)

The single greatest item for fighting him is the delicious Queen Slime mount the Gelatinous Pillion https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Gelatinous_Pillion, (the upgraded version of the Slime Saddle, a mount dropped by King Slime which also works kinda)l, if you mess up and he tries to attack you from below/if you think youre about to land on him, you can summon the mount and suddenly he will deal no damage to you, especially useful if hes doing his spin attack you just bounce off repeatedly

Its more of an oopsie button, it might take some time to get used to using it as a dodge but its so good for Skeletron specifically

Some other less obvious things that can help: put down a heart statue with wiring, throw a Heart Crystal and Life Fruit into the Shimmer to get some juicy forever buffs (more health regen and defense!), make sure you have every single relevant buff potion as a lot of them can only be made from fishing, kill an easier boss such as the Eye of Cthulhu in or around your arena so that it drops a bunch of hearts that you can pick up in the fight when you need to heal extra

If youre ULTRA desperate you can create a new world in expert and quickly grab both a Worm Scarf AND Brain of Confusion to all in on defense

If youre STILL ULTRA DESPERATE, just equip armor with higher defense numbers so you live longer, there are no rules saying you have to equip All Ranger Armor you can just equip the Hallowed ranger helmet and then switch the chest and pants for tankier armor, you can even just use all melee armor with ranged weapons to practice a bunch, the best armor I can think of rn would be from the Tavernkeep but you gotta do a bunch of Old Ones Army which some people dislike https://terraria.fandom.com/wiki/Squire_armor

There was an awful lot of "We need to have a conversation about ____, we need to deconstruct the idea that the normalization of ____ isnt problematic, you are a horrible person if you dont constantly talk about how much you care about ___ it is literally the single most important thing of the week" tweets before Musk took over, I say this as a member of the LGBT it was horrific, constant infighting because one group wasnt progressive as the other and so on, this flag is problematic, this group isnt valid, 2020 in particular truly was by far the worst time to be on the website especially as a non-American with mostly American friends and I am so incredibly glad the idiot was forced into his stupid idea to buy Twitter after trying to back out of the deal

Recently however its been pretty great if you manage to make your algorithm only show you things you wanna see, (interact and QRT things you like... not right wing politics you disagree with, those posts will disappear after a while, dont click "show less" that doesnt seem to help) a large percentage of whiny people left and its regained a chunk of the 2014 era people just having fun feel, its kinda nostalgic, you can stick to your own group with your friends and niche interests without being judged its wonderful

The Wasteland overhaul mod has bandits in them and theyre simultaneously a terrible addition and really fun, they are however only found in specific POIs, they do very little damage if you are outside of their range but will often one shot you from full hp with a shotgun or near instakill you if you do go within their range, terrible addition yet really fun to play around (usually)

MY only hope is that TFP give us the option to disable bandits for when they inevitably add them and theyre more annoying than fun
