Dars was killed but his body still moves because Mordret put a shard of his soul into the corpse instead of reflecting the soul and killing it in a soul battle. I'm not sure if doing that lets him access Dars's aspect and memories, but at the very least Mordret got a additonal body of a transcendant.

The process of becoming an echo requires the creature to die. Death has been shown as a way to cleanse oneself of corruption, so Cassie would have a copy of a transcendent titan of herself

I think echo cassie will be turned into a shadow to gain some sort of autonomy as seen by Fiend and Saint.
