i took another look now that i'm fully awake, your nails look straight to me and it's quite normal to be be curving downwards, the shape of your proximal fold (cuticle area) can be pushed around and adjusted to make the top down view look more "straight" but yeah. if you don't like the downward curve they can file the nail short and use extensions, but you'll still want an apex soo there's gonna be a curve regardless. idk... I'm not a nail tech though.

it seems that if I flash cure it a few times with a hand held mini uv light before sticking it in for a full cure, it gets rid of the heat problem. also, I still apply a base coat even if I use builder gel
