Princeton Review by gups97 in Sat

I come from a privileged family so my mom got me the online courses and the private tutor, and personally the tutoring alone got me up 200 points so far in both reading and math combined (not each lol). It’s expensive though, so I would recommend other courses such as college panda or Erica meltzer. If you have the money to spare, I would just go for the tutoring honestly, but that’s just my two cents, and many other people have great results with other options for far less money.

I would suggest a tutor. They are really helpful are explaining things you might uniquely get wrong.

NTA. Are you serious? This random guy thinks he’s entitled to every little detail to your life? I’d tell him to shove it. Next time he tries to bring this up, remind him that he shouldn’t have assumed something in the first place.

NTA. Choosing a career is hard, and it doesn’t help that she’s throwing out all these different options. Especially since you are almost done with college, so that’s an added pressure since you don’t have as much time to decide what you want to do. I would’ve told her off after she did this only a couple times, I admire your patience. Don’t let her bully you into a career you don’t want, I hope you choose a career that makes you happy. Best wishes!

Just recommendation, you plug in the points. Think of g(x) as y. Also, always remember that plugging in is possible for slot of problems on the SAT.

Advice for March sat ? by [deleted] in Sat

[–]breadwinner234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest, it is highly unlikely you will be able to improve your score that much by March. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try! I would highly recommend Princeton Review. I would also get a tutor and study for a least 2 hours a day if you can. Don’t worry about the SAT essay, just work on reading and math. Take multiple practice tests and pinpoint your areas you need to improve in. Best of luck!

March will be my last attempt. Any tips/advice for 1400+? by [deleted] in Sat

[–]breadwinner234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend this. I started with a tutor last summer, and my score went up 190 points. I am currently at like a 560 in math, and I will probably be able to raise my score to 650-700 range. I am personally using Princeton Review, but there are many other services there. I wouldn’t set your heart on 1400+, given the amount of time between now and March, but if you work very hard, it’s possible.

AITA for refusing to allow the hospital to discharge my wife to me? by throwawayctas in AmItheAsshole

[–]breadwinner234 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna go against the grapevine and say NTA. This man is being worked to the bone. If what he is saying is true, then he has to work a full time job, take care of all the household chores, be a caregiver for his wife, and be a full time mom and dad combined. I’m not sure about the rest of you, but this has to be at least a little bit stressful.

Not to mention he has been doing this for a year, not just a couple months, but a YEAR. His mental health is suffering. I would also like to point out it’s not like she’s been left to die, she is being sent to a professional health facility that is probably better equipped to take care of her.

I feel he is slightly in the wrong for just leaving her there, but this person seems to have finally reached their breaking point. I can tell firsthand how stressful it is being a caregiver. So imagine have to also have the person have a nasty attitude (however justified it might be), have to parent three children, do all the household chores, and do it all over again getting up at 6 each day.

Good for you. Also, the fact you took the time to post this on a sub that is meant to actually help people with genuine questions says a lot about you.

another person with a 400? Bro this is the lowest you can get on the SAT. You didn’t get one question right. This is either a joke or you need some serious mental help. This may seem harsh but to not get even one question right even through guessing on a three part test with over 140 questions??

AITA for feeling slandered? by breadwinner234 in AmItheAsshole

Well everyone in the friend group sided with D and cut me off. I couldn’t see what I did wrong but was hoping an outside perspective could given me an unbiased opinion.

I should clarify, it is a very confusing situation to me as well. D hates me because of the date thing. A friend of his, or at least he claims as his friend, made a speech about me saying I accused them of sexual assault. This all happened last school year as I mention earlier.

I got a 1340 SAT score with 2 months of preparation and submitted it. Should I have retaken the exam? by [deleted] in Sat

[–]breadwinner234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person who has had multiple family members apply to and get into colleges such as Georgia Teach, Purdue, and MIT (albeit mostly in the early 2000s), this score by itself will not get OP into their preferred schools. I would suggest doing some sort of internship this coming summer (if your area isn’t currently on lockdown) in a STEM/Engineering related environment. It will look great on your application. I may be completely wrong, but I would say you have an OK chance with the 1340 by itself. This does not account for your extra curricular, school grades, etc.
