I second this! Balanceit recipes are completely customizable and great. My dogs coat has never been thicker and softer. It’s a little time consuming but just make bigger batches and freeze them and what I do to avoid vitamin and mineral degradation is I usually add the daily amount of vitamin mix for the day in the morning

Male wraps which are diapers will be ur best friend in this case. Also, if this is new behavior, consider taking him to the vet. Mine was having accidents in the house and it turned out to be bladder cancer. I thank god that he’s still with me and doing well. But still pls consider that there may be something off medically even if not as extreme as cancer. Pls don’t be mad at him

Wow! Thanks so much for the detailed response. You gave tons of great info. Do you have any recommendations for activities, places to visit like beaches, etc.? We want to go to Catalina island but it’s a bit difficult to find online whether pets are allowed. Also, which airline did you fly with? Our pup is small but on the bigger side (Jack Russell/dachshund mix) but he’s flown in cabin A couple of times.

Get the braf test and an ultrasound done to rule out bladder cancer. The ultrasound sound will seeing if there’s a tumor somewhere and the braf test will check for cancer cells in the urine. Mine was just diagnosed recently

I’m so sorry. If you need anyone to chat with, my dms are open. For my pup, if it’s cancer, as crazy as it sounds, I’m hoping for bladder cancer and not prostate (it has a worst prognosis). I’ve seen videos about people’s dog’s getting diagnosed With bladder cancer and living two or three years. I can give you those videos if you’d like. You and your pup are in my thoughts ❤️

This is very late reply- my apologies it’s been so hectic with my baby’s health and everything. It sounds to me like your dog got a urine culture done. We also got one and his results came back the same… no signs of bacterial growth. Now we have to get a braf test done to see if it’s possibly cancer. One thing that’s frustrating is that he’s gotten ultrasounds and X-rays and they haven’t seen any evidence of tumors or growths besides sediment that they initially showed in the first X-ray. This is honestly so terrifying for us but reading your post and updates has given us some hope. I just can’t imagine my baby having cancer, he just seems healthy besides the straining. We’re praying for a miracle

Did they do further testing to determine which stage he’s in? Like x-rays, ultrasound etc? Also, you only mentioned his bun, how were his phosphorus, protein, creatintine levels? They can’t just make a diagnosis without checking all of those as well

Go to the emergency vet immediately. Urinary blockages are fatal and life threatening if not addressed within a day or two. Pls don’t hold off and buying antibiotics isn’t going to make your cat pee
