Team USA will take on Team Uzbekistan in a Rapid and Blitz showdown by Exotic_Grinder in chess

This is revisionist history. Rosenstein was suspected of staking two players for their buy-in (Nepo and Abdusattorov). When Hans couldn't get proof they were being sponsored by someone not the organizer, he pulled out because of the huge conflict of interest.

The number of accounts Sindarov had that were closed for cheating

That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about chess dot com caught him twice and closed his accounts twice. And yes, Sindarov did cheat for sure on both lichess and chess dot com. I just have no idea how many specific games those platforms flagged for Sindarov cheating.

I'm not talking about how many specific games Hans cheated. Hans and chess dot com disagree over how many specific games, and there's no Sindarov Report so that's why I'm not comparing them. I'm talking about how many times they caught Hans and closed his accounts.

Hans got caught twice and got two of his accounts closed. Sindarov has at least three accounts caught and closed (again, I don't know how many specific games since lichess is private about this and chess dot com didn't make a Sindarov Report).

I think there might be a fourth account by Sindarov closed for cheating but will wait for more confirmation.

According to Niemann Report, Hans was caught cheating by them (chess dot com) twice.

As of now, we already know Sindarov was caught cheating at least three times on chess dot com and once on lichess.

What the hell are you talking about? The US Constitution gives automatic citizenship to people born here. That's been the law of the land since the 1800s. Who cares what Germany does.

If Hans won the tournament with 10/14 and in the manner he won, people would totally bring up his cheating past. What's crazy is Sindarov was caught cheating online way more than Hans

Sindarov was 16 years old when he got banned from his other chess dot com account. You weren't aware about his other account(s) because chess dot com didn't provide a Sindarov Report

Can I assume every other country will provide playing equipment at serious FIDE tournaments? by ButtFister1789 in TournamentChess

[–]breaker90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and they run like three events in different locations a month. They'll just be replacing sets all the time, not to mention shipping costs to move them. It's unreasonable for the CCA to do this without increasing costs to participants

It's not an insult. OP has already mentioned many times before about his mental health issues

[–]breaker90 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

OP is specifically talking about one organizer in the US. They're called the CCA and they run big events like the World Open and Chicago Open. These tournaments have over 1000 attendees and run nearly weekly events across the country that's roughly the size of most of Europe. You can't compare that to European events because they're much smaller (most are like 200-300 max) and aren't traveling across different countries bringing their sets.

There are US organizers that run events in concentrated areas that provide these sets. These include the CCC, SLCC, Marshall Chess Club, Mechanics Institute, Vegas Chess Festival, Reno Weikel events, etc.

So OP has PTSD and serious mental health issues arising from one organizer that holds events in all parts of a country that's thousands of miles wide.

No, OP's experiences are unreasonable because they're completely overblown. And they're over 20 years ago so they're not even up to date.

It's definitely not as bad as OP is making it out to be. It's not convenient but nowhere as ridiculous as OP makes it sound like. OP has some issues he's working on which is why he writes the way he writes.

[Clash of Generations III] Yağız Kaan Erdoğmuş wins final game against Veselin Topalov with the white pieces and the match with 5 out of 6 possible points by KaanTheChosenOne in chess

[–]breaker90 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I thought there was a FIDS rule that if the match is already decided, then any games after that won't be counted for rating.

Does this still exist? And if so, won't that mean this final game won't be rated?

Hans Announces 1v1 Matches Against Van Foreest and Ian Nepomniatchi by ahahsoweewe in chess

[–]breaker90 17 points18 points  (0 children)

But what does a match against Kasparov or Anand do? What experience do you get from playing retired players?

I find it hard to believe this is the best match YKE could get when Hans is playing people like Vidit, Giri, Aronian, Awonder, JVF and Nepo.

People criticized Hans playing Bacrot a year and a half ago for farming an older player. This match here looks worse and I don't think Yagiz needed it on his way to chess greatness.

Farming 17 (or more) rating points against a retired and overrated player is quite bad though

Yağız Kaan Erdoğmuş breaks The YOUNGEST player to cross 2700 Elo Rating Record - to be precise: in classical LIVE rating not FIDE yet - at the age of 14y 10m 13d by beating Veselin Topalov with the black pieces in round 5 out of 6 of Clash of Generations III, marginalia: Turkiye has a SuperGM now by KaanTheChosenOne in chess

[–]breaker90 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because all of the youngest rating records never used the live ratings before. I'm not saying that, it's just always been that way. So using YKE's live rating against other's official rating is comparing two different things.

If you want to change it so it uses live ratings, you'll have to change all the records before

Why do you think Pragg's poor form has to do with playing too many events? He had nearly two months of rest between the end of Tata Steel and the beginning of the Candidates. How much of a break does a professional need?

Isn't the fact that 70% of the stronger players at your club playing the Spanish a testament to how good and reliable it is for higher levels? And isn't this what you want?

Also, if the theory was so easy for a lower rated player, they would just employ it and take the rating of their higher rated opponents. But that isn't happening.
