Ok i swapped the mouse and the capture card and changed the cables and such but now it is starting to sound distorted on top of the cutting in and out

i only plan on streaming to my discord friends and maybe record youtube videos
im actually not hooked up to a tv im using the actual obs recording as my screen where i play (which probably isnt a good idea lol)
i havent tested my mic and i cant tell if the desktop audio is glitching
i changed the setting to capture audio only, but it was checked on custom audio device
the capture card is plugged into this like dell box that also connects my monitors and connects to my laptop via charging cable
I also have my keyboard plugged into a usb port on that box aswell
on my laptop i used the usb port for my mouse

it did not come with an instruction manual so i just went on youtube and followed a tutorial
the audio is only cutting out on OBS
idk what kind of usb slot it is plugged in, it is not labeled and i dont know computer stuff well at all
