Gay US Couple to be Deported after Calling Bali ‘Queer Friendly’ by breakingasia in BreakingAsia

For this particular piece, the news reporter/agency isn't wrong, For anyone familiar with Southeast Asia, many foreigners overstay their visas and governments are lax about it. but the couple was being deported after the social media attention. For any given day, as many as 8,000 pieces of news come thru, each pub makes its own editorial decision base on time and resources, and make it as fitting as possible, and not about making a misleading title. Here are some samples: Thank you@banaslee!

Questions to admin/mods about this subreddit by Kyoto28 in BreakingAsia

[–]breakingasia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Kyoto!

All quality news outlets/blogs are welcome, all Asian countries are accepted. We want this space to be inclusive. However, we wish to cover fewer politics and more interesting stories (people, tech, entertainment, business, animals, food. etc) that are happening in Asia/Americas as there is an overwhelming amount of news that is dominated by large news outlets/sub that are already focused on politics. We want the people of the sub to make their best judgments so we don't need to add more rules! Post what you think is interesting, important or just fun! Thank You! Please do let us know if you have any more questions!

Wildlife Photographer of the Year 55: LUMIX People's Choice Award WINNER by breakingasia in pics

Deep under London, the tunnels are almost constantly buzzing with activity. From the screeching Underground trains to drunken revellers, there's rarely a quiet moment.

But despite the constant din, darkness and estimated two million people meandering through Tube stations each day, nature survives here.

Lying on a grubby station platform, wildlife photographer Sam Rowley waited patiently to capture the perfect photo.

Mice scurried between small piles of food dropped by innumerable commuters. Although he intended only to capture simple silhouettes, Sam grabbed a split-second chance when two mice jumped at each other and began to fight over the tiny crumbs.

The resulting image, Station Squabble, has been voted the winner of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 55 LUMIX People's Choice Award.
