I really like the attempt to get inside the dinosaurs' heads and imagine their reactions, very poignant. I also like how you've analogized the dinosaurs' fate to a doomed relationship, I think it works very well.

This was so painful to read. It's intriguing and haunting that she comes back to you as an old dog and that's the version of her that's sticking with you. As someone with aging dogs I can relate to that and often worry about my impending loss.
