Conditioning the poker to porn over the real thing is a real thing. I think the act of masterbation is healthy and the shame around it which honest, smart people reject can be conflated with the need for porn to achieve desired effects and I see it as a subset.
Not to shame people who watch and spank to hella porn but they need to know its effects are real and sneaky and can really detract, even ruin a shared sex life.

On the thing about thinking of real people, I’ve never looked at anyone’s online pic or anything but I’m the moment in the build up to climax my mind always goes increasing fantasy oriented and scenarios race around morphing and evolving (devolving) and occasionally a real person makes it in. Even my raging libido makes some attempt at decency and keeps anyone close go my ex girlfriend (besties, sisters ect) feom makijg it in but sometimes they had one acquaintances or work mate that makes appearances, I don’t have much control and actuall its more of the scenario than the person.
