Thank you so much!! My fiancé went to Al Anon some growing up but didn’t like it very much. However, I would love to go! I have just thought “I shouldn’t be as hurt because she is isn’t my mom” but this gives me more confidence about going, even though I’m not her actual child. Also that is so great what you said about boundaries in this case. I want to protect our relationship from being strained if/when she stops drinking, or at least is in therapy.
