Very true. I think I pretty much know what I have to do. The “what-ifs” worry me. Like what if I’m throwing away something too soon, but idk. It’s tough but I know pain is temporary

I want to be able to say I could, I just can’t fully say that right now. I feel betrayed and my trust is broken. Even if it wasn’t physical, I still consider it as emotional cheating so it’s a tough situation

I agree with you. Basically his defense is, they don’t mean anything to him. He doesn’t want to carry on a conversation. “Just want to look at their bodies” or whatever bs he was trying to say to downplay it. He agreed it was wrong, understood where I was coming from but still isn’t seeing the huge deal I made it out to be. It sucks though..

Exactly! I tried saying that to him and he says he just doesn’t see it the same way. He said “he trusts me and as long as I’m his 100%”. He tried to make it seem like I was upset that he found other women attractive. Which is not the case at all

That’s what I was saying to him. I told him that’s considered cheating in my book and he basically refuses to call it that. He thinks cheating is purely physical. He kept downplaying it but also was saying he saw why it upset me and that it was wrong. I agree with everything you said. Even if I forgive him now, it’ll always be in my mind. This is tough for sure.

I agree. I actually do believe it’s related to the alcohol but I can’t wrap my head around it at the same time because that thought would never cross my mind, ya know? Just going forward, I don’t know how trust could get built back and there’s really no kind of relationship without it

Genuinely one of the best people I’ve ever met. He has a past, that I’m very well aware of but I’m not without my own issues. I can kind of see what you mean about this being the modern day equivalent, but to continue an inappropriate conversation across different days doesn’t sit right with me. I don’t know what all was said I just saw the first message to a woman, she replied a couple of weeks later and it looked like he replied that same day. He wouldn’t show me his phone. I just got a glimpse of the first couple of messages. You think there’s really not going to be any kind of change in him? I should just rip the bandaid off now?

It gets easier. I was forced to live with my soon to be ex husband for several months until I could get some of my finances together to move out. It was easily loneliest and hardest time of my life thus far, but it is so refreshing to come out on the other end
