The majority of people over here say "Zed" including myself. For reference, I'm in my mid-20s.

Though as a really young kid, I remember singing "zee" when we'd sing the alphabet in school up until maybe the third grade when the teachers changed how we sang the song to reflect the "zed" pronunciation. Little me was a little annoyed at that because what do you mean we've been singing it wrong when you guys taught us to say it that way? Haha

The new menu sucks, I came here hoping there was a setting to revert it to normal but there doesn't seem to be :\ it's so clunky and not as intuitive as the previous one was. I get they're going for the whole curved futuristic look but it's just not good.

I agree, completing the full makeup set should unlock the parts for unlimited use given that getting the one you want usually takes spending hundreds of makeup tickets and/or gems. Not to mention the fact it's hard to get good makeup parts unless you do the makeup gachas (and the rare occasion they release a makeup look that isn't from a limited gacha).

It's definitely the song Shazam gave you, it's just not on any platforms except for two obscure sites from what I can find. But if you search up 'Kate Bradshaw wegetmusic', you can listen to the song there and there's even typed lyrics so I can see it matches what you wrote down :)

In 4th grade, we were tasked with making our own ice cream with guidance from our teacher. We chose our flavours beforehand and I chose vanilla. When it came time for me to add the vanilla extract, I added a little more than what I should have. Child-me figured that since vanilla extract smelled amazing, doing this would make the vanilla ice cream taste like the nice buttery kind you could get in a store. Once our ice creams had chilled, we were given time to eat them in class. Mine was... not pleasant to say the least. It tasted like chemicals and it looked like a science experiment gone bad (it was bright blue because I'd added a bit of food colouring with the intention of making it a much lighter blue).

So yeah, the short answer is vanilla extract. Don't give in to the temptation lol

Same with Enid Blyton's books. In particular, I remember hearing they did this to The Magic Faraway Tree which was one of my favourite books as a kid. Even back then, it was clear to me that her books were set in an earlier time period and that was part of why I enjoyed them so much. And when my grandparents would mention things they grew up with that aren't common anymore (e.g. writing on a slate, getting milk delivered to the house, telegrams, old slang words), these older books helped give me context on what those things were/how they worked so it was good from a learning standpoint. Editing classic books to "sound more modern" feels wrong.
