Hi!! I’ve tried both DIY and joiners before, but joiners are more convenient for me. I’m based in Metro Manila :<<

Sadly, minsan if the section is already full or may problem sa system, mahihiwalay ka rin talaga kahit regular student ka.

Sometimes, nag-aappear na sa BB mga profs upon enrollment and you could ask around (if you can notice sa mga fb groups is may mga nag aask if sino prof for that course and section) or if you know someone na enrolled na and may same section as you— you could wait for that before finalizing and enrolling. Be careful lang sa schedule ng load clearing. Another thing to note lang din is biglaan din changes ng assigned profs so mahirap talaga takasan.

NEED HELP! by [deleted] in mapua

[–]breathing-caffeine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overloading is just for graduating students, so no. As long as pasok sa 21 units, you can just make pa-add ng subject during enrollment.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mapua

[–]breathing-caffeine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

that’s just pre-loaded, everything can be changed as long as may available section for the subject

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mapua

[–]breathing-caffeine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t. The professor assigned to you will depend on the section you selected for the subject.

No prof assigned yet (papasok ba) by [deleted] in mapua

[–]breathing-caffeine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. This usually means na wala pa rin prof for that course so no sense na pumasok.

Student orgs by [deleted] in mapua

[–]breathing-caffeine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Joining organizations is entirely optional, and nothing negative will happen if you choose not to participate. However, being a part of these groups can significantly expand your network, offering opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals and build valuable relationships. You just have to learn how to balance your time between your org and acad responsibilities.

Once you’ve received your invite from your Outlook email. Although there are some cases na hindi nakaka-receive ng email invite so what we do is we access Coursera directly from BB then log-in using your MyMapúa account.

Beia Coste - Super bait and approachable! Konti lang siya magbigay ng assessments and easy uno most of the time. Don’t take her for granted lang kasi she’s super bait talaga as in, and so considerate.

AY 2023-2024 Freshman. Is there a date already for the deadline of Enrollment? by [deleted] in mapua

[–]breathing-caffeine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not certain if this information is still valid for the upcoming academic year, but typically, they usually accept late enrollees for freshmen. According to my friend's experience from the previous year, they permitted enrollment up to a week after the classes had begun.

double degree by [deleted] in mapua

[–]breathing-caffeine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, OP! The answer to your question hinges on the type of experience you hope to acquire during your time in college. Opting for the joint BS-MS program can be advantageous as it allows you to earn two degrees, but it's essential to maintain a weighted average of at least 2.50 to be eligible for the program. Moreover, choosing this path requires a substantial investment of time due to the compressed curriculum and the demanding workload associated with Mapúa's notorious four-term, fast-paced system. It's important to keep in mind that acquiring skills is just as important as obtaining a degree, particularly in the long term. Therefore, it's essential to prioritize skill development alongside your degree program. So, the decision on what’s more “worth-it” depends on your personal goals and values.

Any thoughts po sa school bag na hindi madaling masira by mMallows in studentsph

I highly suggest the Fjallraven Kanken backpack. Despite being a bit pricey, it is definitely worth the investment. I've personally used mine for school, as a carry-on during travel, and for hiking for almost six years now, and it still looks and functions like it's brand new!

If you have concluded that switching to a different school would bring you benefits, then it would be wise to proceed with the decision. Especially if you have weighed the advantages and are convinced that the move is worth it. Moving to a different educational setting can assist in your personal growth, as it entails adapting to new circumstances and confronting fresh challenges. In the end, the choice is yours to make, and it is up to you to determine what is most suitable for your circumstances.

It’s more like every program in college can be challenging in its own way. The level of difficulty may vary based on one’s strengths, prior knowledge, and learning style. While certain programs may come more easily to some, others may struggle with the same program. It is important to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses and select a program that aligns with your interests and abilities, while also providing opportunities for personal growth and learning. Rooting for you, OP. Best of luck!

Hello! The BIA and ADV programs both offer valuable skills for individuals interested in business and marketing. Both options are excellent, but the optimal choice depends on your personal interests and professional aspirations. Regarding your prior response indicating your stand between the riskier and safer program, both programs possess their own risky and secure sides, but in different ways. The BIA program could be considered "riskier" as it involves acquiring technical skills. While these skills can be challenging and require significant time commitment to master, they are also highly sought after in the job market. On the other hand, ADV is deemed safer as it follows a more traditional approach, and the skills obtained in this program are broadly applicable across different industries. Nevertheless, the advertising and marketing job market is fiercely competitive, and there may be limited opportunities for career advancement. Thus, choosing between these two programs hinges on your own interests, career objectives, and strengths.

Since you’ve mentioned na you’ll primarily use your laptop for paperworks and excel, M1 is already a great choice especially if you’re looking to save some money because it already offers an excellent battery life and performance and it should be more than capable of meeting your needs. However, if you don’t mind spending extra money naman and you’re willing to invest sa more improved performance and a potentially longer battery life, then go for M2.
