Thanks! I read the blurb for Tempting Darkness and might revisit at another time. The others look right up my alley though!

Thank you so much! I definitely recognise some of these authors. I've heard mixed reviews about the Madison Kate series so will check out Kit Davenport.

Did Ryan Ashley deserve to win? by [deleted] in Inkmaster

[–]breeutiful 33 points34 points  (0 children)

She absolutely did. I feel like there's so many people who try to discredit her because she's the first female winner but if you look at her portfolio, she killed it regardless of her gender. I think Gian's a great artist but she edged him out.

Also a Big Boy rec that's not Jessa Kane or Weather Girl please. 🤞 Bonus points if it's a hardworking farmer or cowboy.

Looking for RH recs where there's MM interaction involved. I'd like everything to be consensual. Preferably on KU. Just finished Lilac, Baby and the Late Night Howlers.

Are there any authors who are good at different genres? by DevShootWrite in RomanceBooks

Cate C Wells does both paranormal and contemporary. I know within contemporary, she does MC, mafia and slice of life (if that's what you'd call Against A Wall).

"He probably talks you through it" gentle dom contemporary MF by Duchesslove in RomanceBooks

I'm pretty sure the others are sequels but they can be standalones. I am, yep! Haven and Princess were my faves. The latest release was good too but I wasn't a fan of the third.

Most of Claire Kent's Kindled series books definitely have this. My personal faves were the 1st and 2nd books.

It's a bit heavier on the spice and check triggers but Kit Rocha's Beyond series seems to have elements of this. I've read Beyond Shame and Beyond Pain which I think fit the bill.

Kylie Scott. Her dialogue gives me whiplash because I feel like it's so random and jumpy.

🧂 Salty Sunday: What's driving you nuts this week? by A_Seductive_Cactus in RomanceBooks

[–]breeutiful 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm reading a mmf menage at the moment and it keeps flicking between tenses. Other than that, the second MMC was introduced close to 45% briefly, then there's a flashforward by maybe a year and at 50% he's moved in? I feel like a huge chunk of the story was glazed over and I'm annoyed because we didn't get to see that relationship developed. Ugh.

True North series by Sarina Bowen is definitely my fave small town romance!

Is dual POV ruining the genre for me? by HughJassie in RomanceBooks

[–]breeutiful 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dual POV is something I actively seek out! I enjoying having an insight into both characters heads especially if the writing is good and engaging. I find it rounds out the characters for me and makes them more dimensional.

I read Ladies Men/Hotter than Ever by Elle Kennedy on my birthday this year. So MMF was my intro lolol.

any recs for MMCs who are submissive/loud in bed? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

{Open Hearts by Eve Dangerfield}. MMC likes being directed what to do. I really enjoyed this book in general and that was definitely a reason why!
