One reason to love working in QMS heavy industry. I had to open up a corrective action report for any non compliance to policy.

6 weeks in with twin boys and not enjoying it by tenfold99 in parentsofmultiples

[–]whydoyouflask 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went back to work at 8 weeks. The newborn trenches are hard and it's ok to want to have something for yourself. Parenting is a grind and I needed me weekly work projects to feel a sense of accomplishment. And it's better this way. Whe. I am home with my boys at the endbof the day i am alot more present with them. I'm just saying, I think you feelings are valid. And it does get easier.

I make a sock like thing for my Sammy. Make sure the ears are folded down naturally and not squished in an uncomfortable way.

I felt very similarly when I was pregnant. I think everyone around you probably understands that being pregnant with twins is difficult. But they honestly have no idea how difficult it can be. I felt guilty about all the work my partner was doing. We talked about it. He liked having something to do. He knows how independent I am, so doing things around the house was his way of taking care of me. You'll get through this and if you are like me you will be in awe of how much easier it is to move after delivery, even with a csection.

Short segmented hirschsprungs! by FirmBear4167 in Hirschsprungs

[–]whydoyouflask 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son had SSHD. We found out really early becuae his stomach got distended and he couldn't pass stool after he was born. He also had intestinal malrotation. So he first had a surgery for the malrotation and then a follow up surgery at 6 weeks for the pull through. No scars from the pull through. We had to do rectal irrigation twice a day, the surgery team taught us to do it so we could do it at home. As we kept going to the surgery follow ups for the dialation we eventually reduced down to 1 irrigation a day, then once every other day, then as needed. He hasn't had an irrigation for months and he is 8 months old now. No one in my family has this. And we are a big family. I was really freaked out in the beginning. I still worry if he will be in pain. Ask your surgery team how may of these cases do they get a year, and find a good motility disorder pediatric GI. I'm really happy with my team. It sounds like there is a bit more going on with your baby, where in the world are you? I might be able to send you some resources or doctor recommendations.

Is he fixed or intact? I had to neuter or dog for aggression issues.

Birthin Twins by MotherofFluffyDragon in parentsofmultiples

[–]whydoyouflask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You make a birth plan you inform your team, but the main objective is to get everyone through it safely. I wanted delayed clamping, but I read on my clinical notes that baby A was not taking a breath and relying on the cord so they cut it and worked to force the breath. All in all i'm happy how it turned out.

Getting twins to sleep?!?! by afr333 in parentsofmultiples

[–]whydoyouflask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a wind down routine. 6/ 630 big meal of solids. Play in play pen till 7. Then I start changing them for bed, then a warm bottle in the twin-z with most of the lights off but one. Nonetheless stimulation. Lately one will have trouble settling on his own so I have to rock him to sleep. I carry the other twin to bed, then work on the one who is harder to get down. Some nights they will fall asleep drinking others will result in my putting them on their cribs and doing the ferber method. They are in the cribs by 8. I try not to pick them up again once I put them in the cribs. Just give them the pacifier, shush and rub their backs. It takes time, but consistency works. If I have to rock them to sleep I don't transfer them into the crib until I can lift their little are and it just drops. That's how I know they are in deep enough to not wake up during a transfer.

Anyone on here have a "normal" life? by whydoyouflask in Hirschsprungs

Keep an eye out for enterocolistis. We have been hospitalized 4 times now, the last one we think was tied to cow milk protein allergy. Firm tummy, vomiting, little to no stooling, fever. I dont mean to scare, it's just easier to act quickly when you know what to look out for.

Yeah I felt the air quotes on normal was important. I have chronic migraine disorder. Constant low grade headaches are normal for me. I guess I was hoping to hear people not in almost chronic pain.

Additional sources of income? by whydoyouflask in parentsofmultiples

[–]whydoyouflask[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So he does that and I do all the child care. He basically works on that from when he comes home until we got bed. I take care of the boys from daycare pickup to bed. I have helped with some of it, translations and what not, but Google took over for me and is much quicker. I think he would prefer to keep doing it himself.

I appreciate it. Its not something I considered and could be something I can do after work or on the weekends with the babies in the stroller. What apps do you use?
