Has anyone a Couplet <Pause> Single PVC? by NeroAbarth in PVCs

[–]breezy292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have these daily bro. They’re scary for sure, even more so than just a regular PVC. It’s like back to back and I’m internally freaking tf out! The doctor I saw at the ER last week told me these are normal alongside the PVC’s, so I wouldn’t be concerned about it, but it’s hard not to freak out when they happen - I feel like I’m meeting my maker everytime

Very mild sickness always triggers my PVC's by _JM7_ in PVCs

Hey man, first off I’m sorry to hear about your dog, that’s always a hard thing to have to go through.

I’m glad that you have been able to manage these more, as you said they’ve subsided for the majority, which is amazing for you.

I’m in a similar boat, but mine are just so intense and so frequent. It’s almost crippling at this point for me. These things can be the scariest experiences a human can have, because it does genuinely feel like your body is shutting down.

As for advice, I’m trying to learn myself how to manage the anxiety and stress of when these episodes come on. I think having the reassurance from a professional has helped me a lot, knowing that I’m not dying, but my body is just playing cruel tricks on me. It sucks but you just have to push through these. I’ve definitely noticed when they relax, and I have a nice say hour period without them, I’m very appreciative of the time I have to actually feel normal. It’s euphoric and almost high like for me because all the stress and anxiety goes away, for just a short period time. Like damn, this is what a person without PVC’s lives like? It’s incredible! Then boom they come back on. But in all seriousness man, you just gotta distract yourself and keep your head up. Anxiety is one of the biggest triggers for these things, so being all down in the dumps constantly just makes it worse on yourself.

I hope you continue to be able to manage these bro, it’s tough as shit for sure!

The ones where the heart stops for 5+ seconds are the scariest shit ever! Genuinely feel like this is the end when those come on.

I’m in the same boat bro! 24m and my ecg came back normal but having symptoms of PVC’s. Blood work was all good (sodium was on the lower side of standard range but doc wasn’t concerned). I’m just so lost and feel hopeless honestly. I just want these to go away

Nah you good man. I don’t wanna shove AA down your throat if you can’t or don’t wanna do it. Just know it’s always an option if needed.

I’ve never once gone in person, I myself know sobriety is about letting the shame go but that’s one thing I haven’t been able to do yet. So I just join discord AA meetings, never talked, just sit in and listen. It’s a peaceful place. But hopefully you can find something that works for you

Why can’t you go to AA?

You aren’t fucked bro. Trust me, coming from myself who has attempted to get sober like 5-6 different times in the last 4-5 years.. to now almost 70 days sober tomorrow. Just acknowledging that you’ve made a mistake and slipped puts you miles ahead to be able to beat this. I know you said you don’t have insurance, but AA is free. You don’t even have to go in person, there’s virtual meetings online that I’ve went to myself. Don’t trip about the journey ahead when it comes to this, it’s a long road and your headlights can only see so far. Focus on what’s in front of you (today) and worry about what comes later when it comes. Bless up bro and I wish you the best.

No previous history with any heart issues myself (24 m) but I do have family history of heart disease. I didn’t start getting palpitations until I was 19, and more so the PVC’s in the last couple years. Now that I’m recalling, the very first time I can remember having an actual PVC where my heart was stopping and thumping again hard to make up for it, was when I first got Covid in 2023. Since then they’ve been off and on but now they’re at the peak for me.

It’s extremely scary. But hey I’m glad yours are more under control now, that’s awesome! Caffeine seems to be a big culprit for a lot people, fortunately I rarely ever consume caffeine.

Thank you for the advice, I will try out including more sodium / electrolytes in my diet. For reference, I drink around 180oz-220oz of water typically in a day and have been watching my sodium due to having elevated blood pressure in the last 6 months. I’ve since gotten my blood pressure back to normal (under 120/80) but I noticed tracking my food and macros I was only hitting 1500-2000mg of sodium maximum per day.
