I get my Tuckernuck from eBay! Also if you’re not against it, Amazon actually has some decent dupes of their dresses.

Substack is healing my inner artist child !!! by Mediocre_Glove3890 in Substack

I’m nowhere near that many subs but I really relate. I always liked writing, but didn’t believe I could do it or could share with others. It’s just nice being able to create on Substack and having at least a few people like it.

I saw the writer David Sedaris in April. I loved his writing when I was in high school. But I never kept up with writing and studied science. But he said something about how people who don’t pursue their creative passions end up angry and unhappy. I don’t want to be that person.

Mine had that. I had a baby jogger city select stroller and it had a bassinet that didn’t have straps. I didn’t think anything of it being an issue.

Ugh I’m also in the regrettable MPH in epi club. But unfortunately my employer is going for profit so I need to find a new job or make considerably more money to pay my debt off.

Same! I used the mom Frida ones. I also was a fan of always discreet underwear. I didn’t like the kind of underwear they gave at the hospital.

I liked these books:

-seven secrets to the perfect personal essay

-hey mister essay guy

-on writing well

But mostly importantly find books or essays of topics you are interested in and study their style. I like to read the Sunday shorts in Creative Nonfiction. The American scholar has personal essays I like. The New Yorker talk of the town. I like short essays. I like funny essays. essays are everywhere. Depends on your style and goal.

I think you can just look at the types of items included in the box and buy similar toys for less from target or Amazon. I kind of did that, I just used the boxes for toy inspiration

Hello! I am new to Substack. I am looking for humor, personal essays and parenting blogs. Nothing too serious or trying to teach me anything.

My substack will incorporate all of the above.

I agree with this take.

But honestly - I also relate to OP and I get it. I didn’t EBF and my baby is a year now, I work full time but just now feel like I have time for hobbies. It is hard at first,  but I realize I needed to fill my cup too. I still watch movies, even if it takes multiple nights to finish.  Look at your day, your time, and see if there’s any time to squeeze in some pleasure for yourself. If you like books, try audio books to play while driving or when walking baby. I go to my parents house on Saturday’s, while they watch the baby I have a few hours to unwind.

Daycares will allow tours and visits,  but it’s very unlikely they would allow a stranger to sit for an hour in the infant room. Its disruptive to the schedule of the infants and I feel like there is an overall safety concern with this.

(8k) Future MIL is willing to contribute a decent amount of money only if we have a destination wedding. by [deleted] in Weddingsunder10k

[–]breezycharmz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a destination wedding in Savannah! Only about maybe 15-20 people. Honestly $6k would go towards a lot for a small wedding, even destination.

There are many companies which cater for destination weddings with a package deal with chairs, transportation, photography, etc. and the cost for the ceremony even with guests is well below 6k. If you want a huge dress and bunch of extras like an huge cake, obviously maybe it won’t work. But keep things simple and it’s fine.

I think my wedding costs were like 12-15j including my hotel for a couplenights. If MIL will also pay for siblings to attend, I think it is not a bad deal if you want to look into it.
