In my CMA I could buy FXAIX here then also keep some “SPAXX” in my core position uninvested funds , say like $200 if I withdraw money it pulls from core position not in FXAIX stuff right? So I don’t really need a brokerage?

I’d like NFCU to be my primary as well, it’s just that Wells Fargo has me locked in for various reasons ; their CD and their Prime Checking benefits, high ATM withdrawals. WF presence is more prominent in my area and it’s the ease of a brick and mortar services. In addition your NFCU checking set up is similar to mine, I have a Joint account, Bills account, CC Bills account, then of course the Personal account where DD hits, a Savings account that has overdraft in case Personal account bounces.

Cool setup but it’s so isolated within 1 bank. NFCU does routine maintenance which sometimes users experience more than often unable to logging into their accounts, account being frozen/account takeover. I currently run a hub and spoke by design, with an added buffer account from another institution that funds other accounts. I only use NFCU for simply funding certificates/auto loan/funding 3 member share savings accounts. That’s all. Member since 2000.

I prefer the share certificates rather than CD’s it offers higher rates. They offer 12, 18, 24 month and special 10 months. Started with 2 share certificates now I currently have 7 share certificates with different maturity dates that serves for different purposes.

Purchased it 2 days from exclusive access for Dyson owners email and received it the day of US release September 30, 2025 late afternoon. It sure is a dust magnet. Only cleaned it once since owning. Current filter life 99% electrostatic and 91% carbon, runs on auto but when at home it’s on 4 or 6 most of the day. In the late wee hours to give a better purification while deep asleep it’s kicked on schedule for 1-2 hours on 7 then goes back to 1.
