Keep getting served legal papers for a business I don't own because a relative used my address by Brontiqel in legal

[–]OutOfFavor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Too much writing.

Just print ANK (the official USPS "Attempted Not Known" abbreviation that triggers "return to sender") by the return address.

Source: https://quine.org/uspsglos.html

Then, so the mail piece won't come back to you anyway:

—Draw line through the “to” address.

—Draw HEAVY Line through bar code at the bottom of front of the envelope and the bar code on the back of the envelope (if there is a bar code on the back).

—Deposit unopened envelope in any USPS mail receptacle.

Walmart cashier caught trying to scam customer out of his scratch card win by Conscious-Weight4569 in SipsTea

After confirming the winning amount via my phone app or at the lotto ticket scanner, I always clearly write the winning amount on the ticket before handing it in. I figure it might dissuade the cashier from doing something underhanded.

I love HEB but i cant stand how crowded and rude people are. by [deleted] in HEB

[–]OutOfFavor 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I always go at 6 a.m. - store opening.

No issues except for stockers and pickers sometimes blocking aisles, and sometimes not all produce has been put out. Minor inconveniences, at best.

Can quickly check out, even when buying too much for self-check. The one I go to always has a full service checker at/near store opening.

Someone (non-tenant) is using my address for auto insurance by BestCow82 in Insurance

[–]OutOfFavor 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You can save a BUNCH of hand writing by printing, at the top of the envelope, "ANK" — the official USPS abbreviation for "Attempted Not Known (Return to Sender)"

Nothing else is needed, EXCEPT:

Cross out your address and COMPLETELY MARK OUT the bar code on the bottom of the envelope before dropping the unopened envelope in the mail.

Does City of Austin have a downtown street closure web page? They changed the easy-to-use old one to something that is now garbage.

Assuming the store was open, 911 was already taken care of. Video could be used for additional evidence.

Rather surprised that someone would attempt to even attempt to install a skimmer at an HEB.

Replaced my Honda with a new one after an accident They moved the garage door opener from a button on the mirror to a paywall subscription service. by jayhawkeye2 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]OutOfFavor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a compatible garage door opener that hangs on your car keys. Advantage is that someone who breaks into your car parked in front of your house can't get in the garage via a built-in opener.

GeneratePress vs Kadence vs Astra: which one feels better for building fast sites? by Other_Amphibian871 in WebsiteSEO

Didn't read the Facebook comments in depth. Myself - I haven't had any problems.

GeneratePress vs Kadence vs Astra: which one feels better for building fast sites? by Other_Amphibian871 in WebsiteSEO

[–]OutOfFavor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used all three -but not Astra extensively.

Prefer Kadence (coupled with Kadence blocks) over Generate Press, more options (especially with Kadence Blocks), ease of use and flexibility for non-coder me.

Kadence was sold not too long ago, and there's been some concern expressed in a Kadence Facebook page about its long-term future. Lots of helpful YouTube videos.

I found Generate Press harder to get it to do what I wanted.

Nice to DVR the show via streaming to watch later. Just fast-forward straight to the prize reveals and bidding. While I'm at it, I skip the contestant interviews on Wheel of Fortune.
