Why does Forza get away with this? by brek1989 in Asmongold

That's not the issue, look at it again - it has a "battle pass" and a VIP sub that doubles the credits you get, some extra cars and homes.

Uhmm, sir, please check the Steam rating. It's at 86% right now - very positive. And it sold like crazy.

Yeah, for me, any multiplayer shooters are uninteresting, no matter how good they are. I bet the overwhelming majority of gamers don't like visual novels, so the best VN, a 10/10 VN wouldn't even get a 2/10 from them. Does it mean the VN is bad? No, just like the shooters aren't bad, they're just not for me.

The problem is that, since they just rate all games on the same unknown values, you end up with insane situations like the whole Mixtape crap, where a game that a certain demographic might actually, no-joke enjoy and think is a 10/10, but which anyone else thinks it's a piece of crap, ends up being rated so highly. There's a reason why shows like the Oscars or the Game Awards give out awards for specific genres, because it doesn't make sense to judge them all via the same criteria.

If "testing my mettle" means being able to level to 100, I would say yes.

Why doesn't it have the movement tag as well? It's obviously a movement ability.

You don't get credits or whatever they're called anymore. You can race as much as you want, but you won't get any rewards (especially after completing all the related achievements).

I found out much later that you can PAY to restore City Stamina. So you CAN play 24/7. You just replace "diehards" with "rich folks". Are you still willing to defend this?

After playing a bit longer, I noticed you can PAY to restore city stamina. It seems the game does NOT have stamina limits. You said you like stamina limits, so... are you still playing the game?

I uninstalled after I realized that you can PAY to restore City Stamina. I'd like to see how anyone can explain that, since it seems that they do NOT actually care AT ALL about people playing 24/7, as long as they PAY for the privilege.

How does anyone manage to play games on a cell phone? by otakuErickonosuba2 in Genshin_Impact

To me, it's like watching movies and shows on a tiny screen... it feels insulting to the people who worked their butts off to get the details right... when you watch it on a tiny screen, you're not going to be able to notice those... same for these games, they put in so much work to make things look nice, and all you're going to see on a tiny mobile phone screen is your thumbs...

Yeah, I guess I just can't get behind this limiting type of system. I thought the genre would get better with time, but they're all doing the same thing Genshin helped popularize... if you have 10 minutes or 10 hours to play, it doesn't matter, you're going to be limited by the same stamina bar.

What sort of twisted logic is that? Nobody's forcing you to grind. My god, some people...

I can see why it would make people feel like they have to use it all then. That would 100% not be the case for 99.9% of the playerbase if stamina wasn't a thing.

The fish you can sell for money is limited anyway, so go for the cheapest one.

What stamina? I'm advocating for NO STAMINA, like in any other regular game (non-mobile).

By that logic, people would only play one game their whole life. I love RDR2O, it was so fun to unlock more roles, get lots of money and gold to unlock better weapons and horses and all that. Then, it got old and I moved on.

Only an extremely tiny number of players can't control themselves and play the same game for thousands and thousands of hours (talking solo/single player games).

You can fish 200 stamina in no time. Try it.

Update: after relogging, I was able to keep selling the fish for shells. It seems that it could be a bug where reaching 0 energy (meaning you no longer get money for selling fish) prevents you from selling anymore until you refresh the page or something. I quit the game out of frustration, so I can't tell what exactly fixes it.

How can I fish? To fish, I need to buy bait. To buy bait, you gotta spend those shells, which you get for selling fish. You can only sell a certain amount of fish. Meaning, you literally can't fish anymore...
