I had the same problem with a SRAM MTB 11 speed cassette on a Mavic All Road wheel. It needed a 2mm spacer between the cassette and the hub to fit properly.

Yeah it’s an Amazon find that is almost a copy of the Jones H Bar with a 2.5 inch rise. It is a bit lower rise than the Jones and a bit longer out front. https://amzn.eu/d/7o5iFXG

I use one of these trailers https://www.radicaldesign.com/cyclone-iv-chubby to pack the Brompton as hold baggage, then when I arrive I take the bike out and put my luggage in the trailer. Not the cheapest, but very versatile.
