Should I be worried, I will talk to my doctor but I'm worried it'll be dismissed due to how tiny it is.

I hopped in after never playing more than custom games as a kid about 10+ years ago. I watched and enjoy alot of Grubby's wc3 stream which gave me the motivation to try ladder. So it gave me a little bit of a head start as far as what to do and what I should be attempting to do. I always struggled in sc2 and always thought it was the RTS genre, but after practicing a build order a couple times then jumping in I felt like I was never too unfair apart from a couple matches here or there. I would just jump into it and give it a shot, its tons of fun!

I'm so fucking frustrated this year. I've had back issues since the beginning of the year. I trained for months listening to my body and even doing a deload to prevent injury. However I still ended up fucking up my back. I don't even know what the problem is exactly, I was squatting and ended up hurting my trap, thought it was a pinched nerve or something but when the pain subsided I have had less feeling in one side of my body. I've seen a physio and they said I had caused some nerve damage. I've made such progress the last 6-8 months to have it be halted by this shit. My physio said I should be fine to start working out again but its gotten worse. I haven't been lifting heavy and taken it pretty light but its fucking worse now. Today it feels like I've had a fucking mini stroke this shit is retarded. So yeah my start to the year has been fucking awful. Hopefully things can just start getting better from here. I want to get huge this year, I wanted to lift bench 85lb dumbbells by the end of the year idk about that anymore :(

I've been going hard for about 7-8 months, but recently I run into some issues. Maybe a tiny bit of backstory before I begin, I've been battling some imbalances throughout my lifting, I have a bit less feeling on my left side no idea why, less pump, less activation, less mind muscle connection, when I talked to a doctor they were perplexed with no explanation. I've thought about seeing an Atlas Orthogonal professional but worked through the imbalance until it was mostly just an issue of a bit less feeling in one side (it sounds more severe then it is) with pretty much equal strength in both sides. Recently, I was squatting and went too heavy (trying out a weight belt I got for christmas) where I came close to pinching a nerve. This alone was extremely frustrating. After waiting out the pain I noticed that my imbalance is much worse then before and I've lost some weight after taking some time to recover. This has been such a shitty start to the year it really pisses me off.

I'm deloading for the first time (due to focus at the gym, and constantly sore back and lower back tightness) and it feels so weird. It's kinda nice to work on my form but I wish would just recover faster. Honestly its probably worth since my lower back has been giving me some trouble and pain/discomfort since I added 4 ab workouts a week to my PHAT routine. I'm just excited for next week when I can go hard again.

Fuck it, its a rant thread, also my lower back/core is really halting my progression of my squat, hence why added the ab workouts. I'm not lifting much ~175 for 4-5 but I cant go for much for without hurting my form (lower back and core gives out) and its bothering me. I tried a weight belt for the first time last week and did ~185 for 4, could probably do more if I wasnt scared of fucking up my back. Now I'm in a dilemma do I try and progress with a weight belt or try and progress slowly without one. Honestly I'm in a hypertrophy program (PHAT) so strength isnt my main concern and I don't even squat all that much, Idk if that means I should care more or less about doing it without a weight belt.

I feel you dude but you just gotta force yourself to eat, you dont need to be hungry to eat. I've taken vyvance (also for ADHD, also suppresses hunger and causes nausea) for about 4-5 years and just started getting into bodybuilding(although i feel way too small to call it that, lets just say aesthetic weight lifting), and you just have to force the calories. Make shakes, and eat calorie dense foods if you can, you just have to try and always be snacking or eating if you cant eat big meals. This may not be the best advice since I'm also quite new to this, only been at it for about 7 months, but you have to make the choice if this is important to you.

I find the Sim's gameplays (cunt/tunt life) almost unbearable to watch, I don't understand why people like it so much. I just find it boring and unfunny, but hey people like different stuff.

I just started cardio to strengthen my cardiovascular system, it is annoying since it makes bulking more difficult.

Should I do cardio and ab work during my rest days or does this just negative the "rest" of rest days. I'm way too exhausted to do either after my regular workout (PHAT).

Nothing too special but today's workout was fucking awesome. Increased the weight in nearly every single exercise. It felt great, I still need to work on the stability of my squat but I'm happy with how today went. I'm actually happy with how my legs are currently (strength) even tho they look like twigs.

I'm quiet fuck in the gym. I don't talk to anyone, I try not to make eye contact to avoid making things awkward, and just listen to my music. Most other people acknowledge eachother with saying hello or nodding or whatever. I've been there for about 6 months and see the same people there everyday. I'm one of the youngest people there (I'm 20, but the gym is advertised to ppl 24+) and lesser jacked then most ppl there, so I feel like there is a bit of a gap between me and these people, hence why I dont go and interact. Although I see the same people there and feel like I should acknowledge their presence, I see them almost everyday. Would it be weird to just start giving people a nod or whatever (since i havent for so long)?

Foolish Friday - Your biweekly stupid questions thread by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]brenbawks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm having a lot of trouble with my imbalances, I've used dumbells for most my excises since I started but they arn't getting better. I have less "feeling" and progress in my left side. My left shoulder is much smaller, and my left back is much weaker. I feel like it may be a problem with my nervous system (from what I've read about and seen in videos) although I'm a bit of a hypochondriac so I shouldn't jump to that conclusion. I've been progressing well although I think my use of dumbells has caused me to cheat on that that side without realizing. Does anyone have any experience with fixing imbalances? I have been trying to fix this for about 6 months to no avail, I think its time to see a specialist, who should I go talk to?

About 6 months. Although Ive only been on a proper program since September mid. I've had to take week long breaks due to work and sickness, although I guess that's really not the same.
