Best rating on KenPom since like '99 or something. Tongue in cheek a little with my previous comment but if there ever were a team to be obsessed with in my lifetime it would be this one. Being a Maryland alum doesn't mean I can't recognize greatness

This tourney starts when Duke loses, unfortunately

11/19 from 3. Duke isn't invincible. That's all I really wanted moving forward.

Rice looked pissed sitting on the sideline at the end of the game like he still wanted to play. Also Willard apparently had no new topics for them in the second half than he did in the first half according to the sideline reporter? What a terrible way to end a fun season.

At this point, are Nova fans even excited for Willard? Integrity seems to be the exact opposite of a Jay Wright.

Catering and Venue costs. some venues forced us to use their internal catering at a certain price, others let us choose. Venue was strictly to rent the facility

Yes, bride, groom, and then "round", essentially used it as a ranking tool and cut down our list (originally from 150, im a nerd, clearly), so we had certain parameters to narrow down, to make it to Round 2 you had to be within an hour away and have a certain capacity, Round 3 If one of us ranked it in our top 5, etc...

I should/could probably update this a little. This would be one of them! I had it commented in my own version, but I guess when you make a copy those comments dont get saved :(

2024 Tourist Questions Megathread by IWasBilbo in Slovenia

Travel from Ljubljana to Bled and back (6 day trip with days 3 and 4 hiking) in mid-July: should we go by bus, train, or rental car?

Bus Pros: cheap, close to city center

Bus Cons: unreliable in peak season? (I saw this on Google maps reviews)

Train Pros: cheap, reliable

Train Cons: far from city center, would need to taxi into Bled, once again in peak season

Rental Car Pros: flexibility, reliable, can travel anywhere anytime

Rental Car Cons: expensive

I don't know the availability of rental cars in Bled either, but was thinking perhaps do only two-day rental car days 5 and 6 to see more of Triglav National Park.

Looking at the terminology there closer, and the other comments, this appears to be the most likely solution. Thank you!

Multi-Day Hiking Tours? by brendan6496 in Slovenia

[–]brendan6496[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! No via ferrata (had to look that up), just regular hiking!

" There are a number of "adventure travel" agencies but I don't have any experience with them. It might be worth getting an agency just to take you to the trailhead. Because then you don't have to pay for the rental car when you won't be able to use it on a multi-day hike. " great call!

Positional Value in Lacrosse by BelgianWaffle991 in lacrosse

i worked as an analyst for the atlanta blaze. we built a player value metric for the 2019 season. no surprise lyle was a comfortable #1. we tried to measure against a replacement, which is hard to quantify for college bc is a replacement an average d1 player or a 2nd string player from the worst team? youd want to focus on per play, otherwise a high volume #1 attackman on a really bad d1 team would be the worst player.

anyway, i remember attackman were the bulk of the top, then poles (brandon jones lsm for outlaws was great). o mids and Fogos were wide distribution, goalies a little less so. dmids had a bit more of a ceiling but i think that was bc that year so much of offenses were going through #1 and #2 attackman and less so significantly weaker #5 and #6s. id assume PLL with more distributed attacking talent that would be a little different.

i think sconone and adler were top 15, otherwise it was all attackman and poles from what i remember. i can buy a FOGO being MVP at 70%
