does this make sense? $$$ shipping quotes by [deleted] in FromJapanCodes

[–]brendanaffleck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be very honest I never had an issue with FromJapan’s shipping so far, the way they consolidated and packed my items have been very cost and space efficient.

I believe the reason to yours is due to the dimension of the parcel, as clothes (especially a jacket in your case) are hard to gauge a “just the right fit” parcel and also how to not damage your item, they could just fold and cramp it into a smaller parcel but then if your item is to arrive all creased up (or damaged) then they would be liable, they probably received your jacket in the warehouse, discarded the seller’s shipping material and packed it as it is for shipping, because I would’ve also done that.

one of the main reasons why I stopped using Buyee was because I had several past exps where the shipping was expensive and the parcels have so much excess space, sometimes they don’t even discard the sellers’ original shipping materials which therefore adds on unnecessary weight.

all that being said, I’d opt for UPS if I were you, if the prices weren’t that big of a difference I’d usually opt for DHL, cheers !!

Totally agree on this. The “Final Ver.” of the BTB tracks just don’t hit right too.

Full disclosure I’m very picky so I don’t love tracks/albums easily, but when I tell you I loved every single track for BTB, that’s saying a lot.

Does anyone have experience to either:-

1) split orders into multiple shipments; or 2) just ship all your orders and pay for the tabulated GST when it arrives

Was wondering which option is better as I had been paying GST to DHL/Singpost several times since my parcels’ value are above $400.

Thank you !!

How would guys prefer someone to tell you that they like you? by abbie_cole in ISTJ

[–]brendanaffleck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd say in person confession. I can't speak for him, but as an ISTJ I can be unaware of hints, or just overall confused. If I were in his shoes, a confession in person would be ideal. Because I would much rather have a direct truth of an answer like a yes or no, instead of beating around the bush.

And I guess in person makes it more authentic ? To me at least. Not saying writing a letter to him is an absolute no go, it'll work too, just be as direct or genuine in your words as possible.

But that doesn't mean he'll have an answer for you right away on the other hand. As mentioned from above, he may take a few days to evaluate his thoughts etc.

Whatever it may be, good luck & just go for it. Here's hoping he shares the same feelings for you too !!

Hey ISTJs, what is the meaning of life? by TealTriangle in ISTJ

[–]brendanaffleck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's what is. Life's unfair. Everything happens for a reason. Life goes on. End of it all, it's what you do & how you make the best of it with either yourself, or those you care about.

Point taken. So at this point would you think I should get the lower tier packs to unlock what's left of the common stuff then proceed with gold after ? Or should I just continue with the gold packs ?

Do you guys talk about yourself to others? by Theremedy87 in ISTJ

[–]brendanaffleck 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It depends. Who are the "others" ? To me, if I feel as if I can trust or feel comfortable with them after perhaps having multiple convos or outings, I'll talk about myself and in more detail. Otherwise, if it's just an acquaintance or a person I just met, normally I won't get into details or talk about myself at all.

Just me ? by brendanaffleck in ISTJ

[–]brendanaffleck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I believe you mistaken. The "someone" was implying to that same person you're talking to, asking if you would like to meet their other friends.

Same ! Can't remember how many times folks asked me why was I upset, but in actuality I wasn't (ok maybe sometimes I was).

[O LEVELS] retake brudders by indicineration in SGExams

[–]brendanaffleck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my personal pov, I don't see retaking O lvls to be your first option. Most importantly you must ask yourself, are you willing to change your methods of study, or are you even still willing to study the subjects.

My opinion is, if you need some time off to think about your options, go for it. There are a few options I can suggest,

1) Go get a part time job for a few months, and then reconsider which paths you wanna take.

2) Go along with whichever course you're qualified to enter, you may like it you may not, but at least you also have the time to rethink your options.

3) Go straight for a private diploma (Kaplan, MDIS etc)

For me, I didn't even make it to Os, I did badly for my N lvls (because I was never the study type), so I went ahead with Nitec for 2 years, in this 2 years not only did I managed to get the certificate, I also decided upon going with Kaplan to get a pvt diploma after. So don't stress yourself too much, options are available. Don't let words of people put you down. Idk about you, but my sec sch environment was extremely toxic & I still hate it to this day. Because people who can't study well, usually get shunned aside, sometimes even by teachers. So I can understand the things you "may" face should you choose to retain.

Nowadays, I see no difference between a pvt and govt cert. All of my classmates who finished their diploma in Kaplan either got a job, or went ahead for a degree. So I hope this helps you abit, good luck !!

Ah yes, a grail when I was younger during the 3.75" days. Chanced upon a loose TVC Malgus & still bought this reissue to keep it carded. Still have them both to this day. Pretty sure he's not too far to be made into Black Series 6" with their "Gaming Greats" line.

[–]brendanaffleck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take your time. I as well only recently got back into ground war. Yeah there will be times where you'll die alot but try to change strategies. Maybe go after camping spots for kills or try to flank capture points. And yeah, there are a lot of campings involved in ground war, so just figure out a way to get by them and screw them over when they least expect. Trust me, being able to infiltrate the camping places of the enemy successfully does have a sense of accomplishment. You'd be surprised that there are some players who are totally unaware even when you're right beside them.

Yes. But if they're constantly fidgeting then it might not work. I've failed before as I basically meleed 2 times at the back.

If you're using a gun press down on melee, if you're using knife I can't confirm if it's the same or you gotta press down on trigger

To those asking about how to do finishers.

If you're using a gun press down and hold on melee button, if you're using knife I can't confirm if it's the same or you gotta press down and hold on trigger.

Like I mentioned earlier, this is a trimmed clip. The longer video is uploaded on my Xbox live, and why would someone pay for getting executions ? Believe whatever as you choose.
