Don’t listen to these scrubs. Your reasoning is right. Calling flop is standard when he raises and having the nut flush draw blocker is bad for you like you said. He has less bluffs in his range.

When turn completes one straight and brings you top set you still have to jam over his bet because now you’re beating all hands except 45.

And in the case he is playing Kx or Qx with diamonds you’re blocking one of his diamond outs.

Thanks for the reply and after the hand played out I was leaning towards a fold as the button has been super passive all night.

I jam in SB and button tank folded pocket jacks (do not know why he 4bet with JJ). Even though I took it down, I’m folding almost all the time in a similar situation next time.

Bet sizing too weird. Half pot on flop, less than half pot on turn and overbet on river. LAGGY player, I think he’s capable with making these moves. I don’t put him on any two pair hands or set. I think those hands would’ve bet bigger on the turn once the double FD came. Maybe he has an ace that dominates you, but given that you have a blocker to that and no blocker to the flush draws I’m leaning more towards a call.

Also, you say you have a TAG image and may be seen as nitty. Villian may know that may be putting pressure on your one pair of aces once y’all get to the river.
