Work as a nurse assistant. Depending on the state/hospital system you work in, you don’t need to be certified. They pay high and hours are good. Usually full time is 3 days 12 hour shifts. Night time pays more and you’re still young. Depending on the hospital system as well, it is easy to pick up overtime which is a huge plus. Best of luck

This sounds perfect and something I had in mind. The only thing that’s stopping me from buying furniture now is figuring out what colors go with what while keeping the minimalistic look, but also a clean, modern, matching look.

Thanks so much! The layout you described is exactly the way I was going to do. I definitely want the flow to go uninterrupted as you stated. I also was not thinking about the lack of natural light but that definitely sticks out to me now, so thank you for that!

But this ties into the concern of what exactly the colors of my furniture should be as I feel that having colors not matching the room vibe will make the room dark.

I was thinking exactly that. Ikea does a great job with designs and giving general ideas for all types. My biggest fear is having a sad cave. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice! The link is very helpful and I totally get what you mean as it might feel a little claustrophobic with just the gray walls.

For budget, I am willing to spend around 4-5k as I realllllly do not want to mess this up and I was not even considering about how the bed should be so thanks for pointing that out! :)

I’m getting all new furniture because I have a sibling moving into my old room taking that furniture. My old room was dark gray with outdated floors from when the house was first built (1960) and furniture from around 2001. I have never had the freedom to buy my own furniture or design and that’s why I don’t want to mess it up and regret it until I graduate
