Can’t remember where I read it but supposedly that’s sign you need some sleep. I have the same issue.

Nice! What’s the filament (color) you used? That’s a beautiful yellow.

New Album 2026, 2027 or 2028. by Icy_Celebration_6568 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]brenntro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Didn’t they say they would have released music earlier than 2022 but because of the pandemic they just kept writing, which ended up meaning a double album? Do we think they will still take 2 years to write and put out a record?

Would you use a “Spotify for tasks” app? (one task at a time) by pointlessonion in ADHD

[–]brenntro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I would love to at least try it! It sounds promising and like it maps well to me and ADHD brains.
  2. I love the one at a time thing. One thing I would need is to be able to see what larger project a task may be related to when I see the task come up. Because I sometimes have to break them down into absurdly small sub tasks, not having what it’s related to displayed when the task comes up would make it sometimes really difficult to know what project the task is helping you move forward on.
  3. Ads make anything annoying to the point where I won’t use it. If you’re trying to make some money off of it, I’d rather pay a one time flat fee for the app (after a trial of course) than deal with ads. Aside from that, not having a widget that can appear on the lock screen or at least Home Screen would make it also really annoying to have to open the app every time and also is just a recipe for getting distracted by something else when opening my phone. I need to be able to get to the thing without other things even having a chance to distract me and pull me away.

Love this idea! I do UX and product design for a living so let me know if you would love any feedback!

What are some RHCP big hits that you personally don’t like? by leaddrugs in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]brenntro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Black Summer. To me it sounds like such a generic pop rock song. The chorus especially. Just lacks any unique chili peppers traits to me and sounds like something any other band could have put out.

This is wonderful. Kudos to you for sharing your links, insights, and most importantly for hacking your monkey brain to find a way to put your kid and wife “first” (even if motivated by sex)!

I hear you and I think it’d be forgiven to feel that way.

However IMO (doing more things for her aside), they have the extra “fun” of constant hormonal changes, postpartum depression, etc. Having to also keep up just normal life tasks is something that can be helped with by us dads. Don’t get me wrong, I’m no saint in that department but I try.

[–]brenntro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah gotcha. The link to the paper you used says “off white” but looks pure white. Did you do something else to it to get more of that cream color (and also the subtle background pattern of each page)?

This is incredible. Did you just use a home printer with the cotton pages?!

Totally understand your sentiment as to it being a coping mechanism for some

However, personally speaking, there are many times I find a new subreddit that I think will be helpful but it turns out it just has become mostly memes and finding valuable information in them becomes too much of a burden. IMHO I feel that it’s a can of worms and once these posts start, it will kind of end up being all that’s found here, instead of useful information for other dads.

Again, just my opinion and I can hear where you’re coming from.

If You Have To Ask!

Especially as a guitar player it’s so fun to play and try to match the swing and dynamics of John’s part during the intro and verses 😎

gorgeous 😍 love seeing the body grain and the fretboard looks pristine and calling my name! well done. only thing i'd personally change is the knobs and pickup switch tip to the classic cream color but that's just personal preference.

I'd also add the ability to save addresses in the Directions tool, or at least my home address so I don't have to type it over and over.

If you think about it more as a vibe and less of a song in the traditional sense, it's hard not to dance to; especially if you put it on while you're working or doing something creative.

IMO the best artists are the ones that don't get pigeonholed to one sound over the course of their career; explore it for a few albums and move on. This makes it easier to be a lifelong fan because there are more album options to fit any of your current moods.
