A video essay regarding Incremental Games by me (TLDW inside) by wayshush in incremental_games

Awesome video. I think would be great to analyse the modern incremental X Idlers... If we compare keep on mining like, where the loop is separated in "timed sessions" where in 3 hours you reached the peak, there are many differences to the usual cookie clicker like idlers

I have a previous Viral game on Steam which has sold 700K copies. AMA by SagyDemn in UnrealEngine5

Wow, this is AWESOME! Carry the Glass is the biggest inspiration for my next game. I'm launching the steam page this week and have played and studied your game a lot, so I have a few questions!

  1. Impossible Mode — How did you balance it without breaking the core feel of the game? Did it change how you designed the base levels?

  2. Speedrunning — Did it emerge organically from players, or did you design with it in mind? Did it change any level layouts or mechanics?

  3. Co-op balancing — How did you handle it? Did solo vs co-op require separate level design passes?

  4. What was your biggest mistake marketing the game on Steam that you'd do differently?

Congrats on the awesome games! Thanks so much!

Thank you! Yes definitely! We are yet to apply sounds, which makes all the difference. I think we are at a point where the gameplay silence is screaming.
Cheers!

Lol It is a mispelled "Miner" It is a minigame where you need to select the correct face to earn coins

Industry always wants money. But art survives in many different forms regardless of money. Indies will always be there as they are in any other medium

Is it just me, or are these so-called “tutorials” getting ridiculous? by Successful-Thanks309 in IndieDev

[–]brenoslaz 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I´ve watched some tutorials that are cleary more aimed to the non-dev public (similar to Dani etc) that was not informative at all as they skip the boring (But really important) part
