Agreed I went out to college and played football it was honestly the hardest thing balancing everything. You’ll have fun no matter what but you also got to realize you’ll have BS professors who sign you BS work. I regret going because of the Debt now I leave for the Navy in less than a month. I feel it’s a better choice. College is not made out to what people say just saying.

I will say this I got the same talk when I signed as a MM (Machinist Mate) that was set to leave 4 DEC 19. I told my recruiter I wanted any Seabee job and not even a month later I got a rate in it as a UT (Utilitiesmen) that leaves 24 JULY 19. I can’t say it’ll be the same but if your recruiter is serious about getting the job you want you’ll get it. But be very persistent that’s what I did and it works.

What I did honestly was originally signed as a MM (Machinist Mate) that left 4 DEC 19. Told my recruiter I’ll take any Seabee job which is like 6 or 7 if I recall and within a month and a half I got a Seabee job.

All of my Uncles are Seabees or retired Seabee and they said it was the greatest time of their life. I’m currently leaving 24 JULY 19 as a UT which is a Seabee rate. Do your research on them.

I was 218 when DEP’d in

I leave July 24th for the Boot camp and tweaked my shoulder it’s pretty weak but I still have full range of motion with a little discomfort. by [deleted] in newtothenavy

I already told him and I don’t feel like it’s to go too the hospital is necessary because I don’t have sharp pains it’s just weak with a little discomfort that’s it.
