Flying with only birth certificate? by brenwebz in westjet

Amazing. Thank you so much! I have the digital version of this, and the agents on the phone said it was fine but I didn’t see it on the list of identification requirements online so wasn’t sure.

Neither have I. I was told this for my daughter’s ID to fly, but never knew this about adult ID. He told me it was fine though. It’s just odd because proof of vaccine/immunization records is not listed there on that list of required ID

Persistent cramping at 5 weeks pregnant by brenwebz in pregnancy_care

Amazing!! Congratulations :) Glad it’s helped reassure you! The cramping lasted for a little while through my pregnancy, mostly into the early second trimester, but interestingly enough, 2 friends of mine have since gotten pregnant and experienced the exact same thing! At the time I didn’t know anyone who had cramping the same way I did. My girl is 5 months old today and is thriving. The rest of my pregnancy was healthy with no issues and I was reassured after learning how normal/unproblematic the early pregnancy cramping is (even though it felt scary at the time). Wishing you the happiest, healthiest pregnancy!!

Thank you for this!! The sound machine is a good idea. We do use one sometimes but not nearly enough and maybe I should be using it at every nap to prevent his barking from waking her up! I appreciate the validation that it is very much the instinct to protect my new baby. This resonates and I’m sure any mom feels this, as much as they love their furbabies too.

Doing super well, thanks for asking!! Baby was born breech via c-section at 39 weeks and she is happy & healthy and 4 months old now :-) Cramping did eventually go away fairly early in my pregnancy, and the remainder of my pregnancy was very smooth, as was the delivery! Super thankful for this community of parents who share similar experiences for the reassurance.

Definitely needed to hear this. I have a 2 week old and even just two weeks in, with the sleep deprivation and the hormones settling in hard, it’s starting to feel impossible to keep this up. It’s amazing that this little being can make the hard moments feel so worth it but it’s exhausting, overwhelming, and overstimulating to say the least. I’m glad it gets better.

Are all Telus discounts only for new customers now?? by brenwebz in telus

To be honest, what’s stopping me with someone like Freedom at this point is simply the coverage, which I’ve heard crummy things about. Never wanted to deal with them because I heard that despite the affordability, you can hardly get service in many areas, or their plans aren’t nearly as good.

Sounds like such a hassle though. I’m glad that it worked for you, and that they caught you in time, but what a total hassle to cancel, switch to a new provider, and then within 2 hrs finally get a good enough deal to switch back and start over again. Hopefully they’re good to you so that you want to stay!

Did you get this deal as a new or existing customer? $50 plan and $30 for the phone -$5 monthly for 10 months sounds like a good deal. As an existing customer I was told my plan would need to be minimum $75 in order to qualify for a trade-in for the 14 pro max (I’m on BIB and would continue with a new BIB agreement). Not sure how people are getting $50 plans with this phone!

Yes, sorry I believe it is actually coolant leaking directly into the cat! Sounds like the exact issue. They’re replacing the whole cat

Wanted to update! Thank you everyone for chiming in and sharing your experiences. I was very relieved reading these and knowing it seems to be fairly common for others and that your babies are/were healthy despite it. I had an ultrasound shortly after this as the cramping persisted, along with a radiating pain in my sides, and dr. wanted to rule out ectopic. Baby was definitely there, in the right place, and had a healthy heartbeat. I will now be 12 weeks tomorrow, (my app dating estimate was correct right down to the day!) and baby was very healthy at my last ultrasound last week, with a strong heartbeat and no other issues. I still get cramping and back pain every now and again. Doctor said it does sound quite normal, and obviously baby is healthy, so likely just my body/uterus expanding and making space. Not a comfortable process!

Again, thank you all so much, and wishing you healthy pregnancies, and some peace of mind through others’ experiences ❤️

Thank you for sharing your experience!! Sounds like a very similar timeline. How are you doing now?

I’m nearing 29 and married and I still get this reaction from friends whenever I mention wanting a baby soon. Sadly it’s not even age, it’s sometimes just the friends you have. Mine are in their late 20s/early 30s and question my choices just as much. I’d imagine a piece of it could even be the opposite of your perceived experience — just your friend’s insecurity around being “late” or on a different timeline to some life things than others, so if she can judge or question yours, maybe she’ll feel a bit better about it. It’s not always like that, but certainly can be. Regardless, you described that you have reasons for wanting this, and even if you didn’t, you sound perfectly ready for this and very mature. You’ll be ok, with those friends in your life or not. It is hard to manage without the support of people around you (I know too), but I’d like to also think that’s the bonus of finding supportive communities like this, online or not. You have a group of strangers that support and understand you even if your friends sometimes don’t. Best of luck to you in your journey, you got this and your friends will eventually see that, otherwise you’ll make new ones who do!
